La Quinta by the airport, any one stayed there?

Due to flights, we're getting in Late (12ish) on Friday Night and don't want to spend a fortune on Disney when we'll only be sleeping there 8 hours before heading over for our reservation on site, I saw that there was a La Quinta Inns and Suites right by the airport, has any one stayed there?

That is one of the value chain hotels (around $100) we stay at when we do short stays while traveling. We have also done Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn and Ramada so we do stay in that kind of hotel about half the time when we travel, but LQ is familiar and we like thier breakfast selection. However I know that thier is two tiers and we like the newer models.

Just want to make sure it's not an older, doors open to the parking lot, seedy looking version of LQ.

We'll just don't want to have to get in late, and then pick up our car, and THEN drive for a while to get to a hotel where we'll only sleep and eat and check out early. We'll probably get a car at Thrifty so that's right down the street from the Airport as well and we want someplace close, easy with out being cheap and icky.

If you mean the one with suites that is right outside the North exit with all the other hotels, it's great. If you mean the one without suites that is a little farther from the airport but still considered an airport hotel, it's a dump and I wouldn't even board a dog there. I speak from personal experience with both.

I think the one called the "Airport North" one I was looking at was on Frontage Road and is an Inn and Suites, it looks like it is straight out on the road from the airport well actually you turn in and kinda curve back on a side street to the right, but close to Semoran Road.


The only other one their site shows with "airport west" is one off to the side on Daetwyler Dr and is just an Inn. I was not looking at that one.
