Has anybody seen this? Is it worth going to?

We saw a Cirque performance at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year and I am just wondering if it will be pretty much the same (I think the one we saw a called Kundan)

Any thoughts?

We have seen two Cirques now - one in Vegas and the Orlando one, and we really weren't impressed. The acrobats are very talented, but we just didnt enjoy the actual shows - we found them bitty, and badly put together, with no real story. BUT we are pretty much the only people who say this so I'm sure you will get some much more positive reviews posted here! The Cirques just aren't for us it seems!

Hi
(Using DG account here so im sure she wont mind :cool1: )

We thought the show was fantastic. I wasn't really a fan of these kind of shows but watching the performers and how talented they are made the show fantastic. Even so, we will be seeing it again this year.

I'd say see it at least once if you dont like it then you do have to see it again !

We.ve been to the one at DTD for the last 2 years and even my husband, who was very sceptical to begin with, loved the show.

We have seen several Cirque shows in London, Las Vegas & La Nouba in Orlando.

We really enjoyed La Nouba when we saw it in 2006 & have tickets to see it again again next month. As a pp said - you won't know if you like it until you try. :thumbsup2

I am same as Sonya, seen them in Vegas and here at DTD, not impressed, very talented people but not my kind of show, saying that DW & DS do like them so going again to see La Nouba next week, I might sleep thru it but they will enjoy it.

I wasn't keen... My bf liked it but neither of us care about seeing it again. We saw a show called 'La Grand Cirque' locally which was amazing and thought CDS might be similar but it really wasn't. However, I think everyone should see it once ;)

Hi

We saw La Nouba in Sept 08 - We did enjoy it but much preferred the Blue Man Group at Universal - Going again in June 2010 and wont be see La Nouba but def going back to see BMG!!:cool1:

Sx

I'm another to really recommend La Nouba, we saw it twice in our last trip.

We also saw the one at Albert Hall earlier this year, that one we only thought was ok, La Nouba we came away awe-struck.

We also saw the show at the Royal Albert Hall - whilst we enjoyed it, La Nouba is so much better! :thumbsup2 I think the purpose-built theatre at DTD allows the artists to take on much more aerial work: really jaw-dropping stuff.

I can't recommend La Nouba enough. If you're concerned about ticket prices, be aware that the nature of the DTD theatre means all (or at least most) seats have a great view. We got the cheapest categories of seats in December 07 and enjoyed a great show - we'll definitely be heading back in November!
