La Nouba and young kids?

I really want to go to La Nouba but I am concerned that my kids are too young. They will be almost 5 and 6 1/2. My son is afraid of the dark and creepy music. Would you attempt this show? I was thinking of getting the music (if available) and playing it so he would get used to it. Any advice would be great. My husband saw Mystere in Las Vegas and we LOVED it.

I would think kids that age would LOVE it, but maybe I guess it just depends on the kids. I've seen the show three times, so obviously I really enjoy it! For what it's worth, we took my son when he was not quite two and he didnt' make a peep the whole time. He sat on my lap just absolutely amazed. I don't think he ever took his eyes off the stage!

Young kids would probably like the gymnastics and crazy colors of thier costumes. The performers do a lot of amazing things, and there are clowns that are actually funny. I'm sure your children would enjoy it, but you know them better than I do.

I would think kids that age would love it. I am planning on taking my oldest when she turns 5. And depending on oh well the youngest sits still I will take her, she will be 3.5.

If you are worried about your child being afraid I would get the cd, but you could also get the DVD and let them watch it before hand.

I just took my little ones to see Cirque Dreams (one is 3.5 and the other is 1.5). I know it is different from La Nouba, but basically the same. I don't think my 3 year old blinked the whole first half(saw La NOuba in March, but I don't remember if they had an intermission) and my 1.5 year old was just as amazed up until about 10 minutes before it was over. They both loved the costumes, colors etc. Cirque Dreams had a lot of black light effects. I think your kids at that age will have a great time.

Is there a daytime matinee of this show? Because my kids are the same ages as OP and although I know they'd love the show, I figured it would be too late for them and they'd either get crabby or fall asleep, either of which would waste the ticket money.

They may get crabby but I can't imagine anyone but an infant falling asleep at a Cirque show!

There is an early and late show. The early show is at 6pm.

It's only a 90 minute show, so the first show is over by 7:30p.m.

I have a Dd(just 5) who loves cirque, she watches it on BRAVO with me when it is on. She tells everyone she wants to be in the circus and swing and help make the costumes. Everyone just smiles at her, they dont know she means Cirque, the circus doesnt really come around often by us. She was so excited when I ordered the tickets! I just didnt tell DH how much they cost.
