From the Griffith Observatory web site:
Monday, August 21, 2017
Eclipse starts: 9:05 a.m., PDT
Maximum eclipse: 10:21 a.m., PDT (Moon covers 70% of sun’s diameter, 62% of sun’s area).
Eclipse ends: 11:44 a.m., PDT
Note that this is not a blackout day for SoCal or SoCal Select AP's, so right now there might be 60,000 people trying to figure out where they want to be in DL/DCA during a partial eclipse.
