I have both of these booked right now, but have to decide on which one to go with.

Which one would you choose for a late lunch/early dinner and why?

It kinda depends on what kind of food you like best. I love Mexican food, and we adored La Hacienda when we went there in December. I LIKE British food, but not as much as mexican. They are both beautiful restaurants, though.

I thought La Hacienda had a strange menu. It was good but I suggest reviewing the menu before making a decision.

We have eaten at both and personally would not go back to La Hacienda. However, we really liked Rose & Crown. We normally love mexican food, but the entrees at la hacienda were not to our liking. Rose & Crown has great fish & chips and we had a wonderful cheese plate appetizer. Also, we really enjoyed eating outside on their patio.

I ate a late lunch at Rose and Crown a few weeks ago. It was a relaxing lunch. The CM were very friendly and efficient. I had a great cheese plate for an appetizer. For the main course I had bangers and mash. It was freshly made and very tastey. The menu had a lot to pick from. I would eat there again on my next trip.

NOT hacienda. I love Mexican food, especially when it is fresh, light, and flavorful. I think hacienda tries to do that, but in typical Disney fashion they overdo it with the sauce which overpowers the dish. I thought the shrimp tacos were so smoky, the dish was inedible to me (the last inedible dish I had at Disney was at Spoodles over two years ago, so this was a huge disappointment).

We loved our meal at La Hacienda! I guess this is each to his own liking, but we thought the food was wonderful and the atmosphere great!

I agree with Mom Poppins! We LOVED our meal there! The atmosphere is very nice too! I think R & C is more of a casual atmosphere. Just depends on what you are looking for in a dining experience. Can you do R&C for lunch and LaHacienda for dinner?

We ate at both restaurants on our last trip, I think I would have to go with La Hacienda. They're both great places though, you can't go wrong with either! :goodvibes

Thanks for all the responses, this definitely helps! We have reservations at Crystal Palace earlier for breakfast and normally we can be kind of picky eaters, so looks like Rose and Crown might be the better option. :)

Haven't eaten at R&C but LOVED La Hacienda. It wasn't typical Mexican but everything we had was delicious and fresh. The margaritas were great too!
