Sorry if this has been answered in another thread, but I couldn't find it. DH and I really want to try this place out. Is it mainly just a bar? I mean I normally don't take my kids to bars:laughing:but I guess what I'm asking is....Do people take kids in there( and not get the evil eye from everyone;))? I'm dying to try the avocado margarita. My kids would be happy with the chips and guacamole and a coke, but I'm not gonna do it if they shouldn't be in there. Thanks in advance!

I have seen that place although not been in and it didn't look very big at all. It is just a bar from what I could see and I don't remember reading that they served food there at all.

I would be very uncomfortable bringing my children into a bar even at Disney World, but that's just me.

It is mainly a bar with very limited seating. When we were there in December, there were no children. It was also very hot. We took our drinks and sat in the courtyard where the temperature was more comfortable. BTW, I had the avocado margarita - it was delicious!:)

People do bring kids, but it does seem to be mainly an adult atmosphere. Very little seating and not any food (aside from chips and spicy salsa).

You can get your drinks to go, and I do highly recommend the avocado margarita!

Well, I wasn't feeling very good about taking them in there, but after doing some more searching and reading, I see you can get a to-go cup! So yay, now I can get the avocado margarita and not corrupt the kiddies:laughing:

It is a lounge/bar. People take children in there all the time! If you go early enough, sometime between noon and 4, you won't have a problem with taking your children in there. I'd stay and enjoy your drink and the chips and guac/salsa. Great room with a lovely mural on the wall. Relax and enjoy!

This place is very much a "bar". I've seen children in there but its really not targeted to them. Its much more a place where adults go to have a very nice drink, some munchies, and to chat about whatever comes up.

We got drinks from here and walked around the pavilion while waiting on our reservations for dinner. Awesome selection, and, yes, great that they offer to go cups!

We took our son there and there were quite a few kids. The only problem was that it took 20 minutes to get a margarita the first time, and 40 minutes the second. DS was asleep in the stroller the first time and the second time he was happily munching on chips and guac.

Considering its location, it didn't really feel like any bar I've ever been in, and there was a wide and varied clientele.

When it's just my son and I, no, I don't feel comfortable just sitting there drinking with him. When my husband and I went last week, though, we did see some kids.

I hope you have a great time and enjoy your drink.

:)

You can take your kids virtually any place at WDW but this isn't a good idea, IMO. Service is generally slow, there is nothing for kids to do or eat, really, it's small and when I've been there the adult conversation is VERY bar like. Just use the 'to go' option.
