is it very difficult to get into La cantina de San Angel with plans on watching Illuminations? If we arrive and get a table at 8 and finish by 8:30 would we be asked to leave?

1) Yes.
2) They are in high demand.
3) And, there are not that many tables with a view.
4) Once seated, you cannot be asked to leave or made to leave.
5) If someone does ask you, call a manager FAST.

We had the perfect table. Right as the show started, about 20 people came and stood in front of us, blocking our view. It was very disappointing. If you really want a great view of the fireworks, have a different strategy.
