Hello ~ I understand there is a museum about the La Brea Tar Pits. However, we are probably only interested in seeing a tar pit for a few minutes. Is that possible? Cost? Parking? Thanks! Sandra

Tar pits are free. There is street parking with meters all around; difficult to find during busy times, mainly weekdays during work hours. There are garages, too.

There is also free parking in the lot behind the Tar Pits/Museum
