Kudos to Sesame Street

Did anyone else see Sesame Street yesterday? It was about Big Bird's nest being blown away by a hurricane, and his friends coming to help him rebuild it. It was done in a great way to help little ones understand something that is scary to them.

I think this was from a few years ago. Was Al Roker on it? Can't remember much else though' watched it w/DD a while ago. Good of them to replay it now!

My DH is a stay at home dad. I remember him calling me at work last September after the hurricane's to tell me about it. They pre-empt it with a note to parents about the show. My dd was only just 2 and she was very concerned for Big Bird. My DH had to talk to her a lot that day about it.

It's actually a whole week of episodes built around a hurricane on Sesame Street. They first aired in 2001. We've been watching them this week, as well. Really well done. We LOVE Sesame Street.
