Kudos to Disney for their consideration!!!

Just wanted to give an update on our situation; for those of you who didn't read my thread about a week before Christmas, I will summarize our situation. DH and I renewed our APs and made plans for March 2004 - DH got diagnosed with kidney stones so we had to cancel; we rebooked for September and canceled since it was right in b/w the hurricanes; we then rebooked again for this month and in mid-December found out we were pregnant. We were thrilled as we have been married for almost 5 years but we decided to save the $$$ for Disney and use it to renovate our spare bedroom and then save again for a trip in a few years. We called Disney and explained our situation and were asked to send our old tickets our exchange vouchers and a doctor's note and they would see what they could do. Well, we just got a credit in our bank acct. for the renewed annual passes; we also were able to obtain a refund of over $300 from Southwest only because of this circumstance. We are thrilled and wanted to let people know how happy we are with Disney - they were so attentive to our situation and makes us not want to wait long until our return

Thanks for the great post. I am very happy for your situation. Too often people use this board to blow off steam, and we all get in the mindset of Disney has lost the magic. Then we get another negative story and another and tend to forget that for every negative story there are literally thousands of positive ones such as yours. And b/c of this situation, our faith in Disney (faith that was already strong) has now grown stronger and we cannot wait to get back to Disney with our new addition!!!!

And I bet you deserve some of the credit. You didn't call "demanding satisfaction" but instead asking for help. Most people (and companies too) want to help folks that ask nicely. Good karma back to you and congrats on the pregnancy!
