KTTK tour questions

Ok DW and I are very excited about doing this in October which leads me to ask some questions.

1) How long is the tour?
2) How far in advance can you book the tour?
3) How many rides can you do on this tour?



Anything else would be great.

We did it in November. It rocked. It was about 4 or 5 hours. We went on 2 rides Pirates and Haunted Mansion. We had an excellent lunch at Columbia Harbor House and we went off stage and watched them practice for the Christmas parades. It was delightful. We booked it 2 or 3 months out but it was not very crowded.

I have KTTK booked for my trip in two weeks (along with two other tours ) and was told that depending on the guide that it would be 4-5 hours long, lunch to be provided at Columbia House, and we would ride 2-3 rides (Pirates, HM, and maybe Jungle Cruise, if time permitted). I was told we would each be given headsets so we could hear the guide. You can book up to a year in advance and will get a discount with AAA or AP. You also get a special KTTK pin that you can only get if you go on the tour. You can take pictures on stage, but I was told that if you get caught trying to take any pictures backstage that your camera will be confiscated and you will be kicked off the tour. I was also told that since the CM was killed backstage last winter, that the tour no longer included the float area.

We did the tour in November 2004, Saturday after Thanksgiving. We got on two rides, HM and Jungle Cruise. We walked by and stopped by POTC and asked if we were riding. We weren't. I've heard of people getting headsets, but none of the tour groups there that day had headsets. We ran into 2 others groups besides ours. Our tour lasted over 5 hours. Lunch was at Columbia Harbour House upstairs. I booked the tour about a month and half before.

Our tour went through the Mansion and Pirates. I don't remember exactly how long it lasted, but as everyone else stated 4-5 hours sounds right, with lunch at Harbor House in between. It was fun! But I'm a dork and knew all of the guide's interesting trivia bits before hand.

I'm not sure if it's typical so I wouldn't recommend it, but we decided on this tour on a whim and were able to book it just two days in advance.

We did this tour a few years ago and really enjoyed it. It lasted most of the morning and included lunch at Harbour House. We did HM, JC and PotC.

We did the tour in Jan of this year, we had Fred as our guide, a really nice geniune guy. We went on Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise. Our group was made up of about 10 people, so there was no need for headsets. Another group started after ours, and had about 30 people, so they were using headsets. We all really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone.

We booked our KTTK tour about 3 months in advance. We had a great time and I would highly recommend it. We rode on HM and Pirates - no JC. The tour lasted right about 5 hours including our lunch upstairs at CHH.

We're going on KTTK on Sunday June 5th. This is GREAT, I didn't know what to expect, but all 3 ride PoTC, HM and JC are my 3 FAVORITE rides! YAA HOO

DH and I are doing the KTTK tour in Oct. Got a discount by using our Disney Visa.

I might have to change the early time slot for our tour. If we are up until midnight at the halloween party, having to get up early to do a tour the next morning might be a little less than magical.
