Headed over to the Space Coast to see the shuttle landing.
My two inside leads at NASA said the earliest landing time would be 12:15- 12:30....
At noon, as I was driving across the causeway, I looked over and realized that this location was a close as my target location and decided to pull over. There was one other vehicle there. As I was shutting off the car, I noticed them getting out of their car- I supposed in reaction to my arrival and glanced over- only to see the flight passing over the VAB.
It was 12:04.
I leaped as my fingers hit the power button on the Olympus Ultra Zoom hanging around my neck as always, and didn't even have time to fully zoom as I started shooting desperately.
Next day, headed for the Magic Kingdom.
ECV Steering control busted as I hit Main Street in the Magic Kingdom- after an hour Disney gave me one of theirs to use.
Delay was good- cause it put me passing by a certain restaurant as fellow net Fans 'Jennifarie' (Jeniffer of NH) and her husband exited and ran into me! Celebrating their 1st Anniversary at Disney!
Main target- shoot Mickey and Minnie's houses before they get removed for the new Fairy Land: found a new Hidden Mickey.
Saw the new Hall of Presidents Show: Barrack was amazing! Best Audio-Animatronic figure ever!!! Movement was beyond anything hitherto done and show has been revamped and is great!
Then I hit the beach at the Contemporary resort and found a hammock for a nap...
Out to Old Town and Checkers for a double cheese burger sans bun, $3.
Over to Epcot where to my shock, the signs for F&W are already up! BUT, it doesn't start till Friday!
Staked out a spot for Illuminations at 7:30, and did the close up of the Earth Globe- worked great, except I had to move the camera at one point, so that killed that take, but the exposure with the new lens filter did the job!
