Krysten & Michael's DFTW - 9/9/10 - WP/Narcoossee's - 1 Year!! 09/09

The invites are STUNNING!! So pretty! I can't say enough about them. :) (Oh, and if I'm not too late on the hair question, I vote for the updo too!) :)

Wow, your invites are so pretty! I love those colours together, and I love the castle on the front! Gorgeous!

Thanks Karen! I am glad that you like them! I hope that things are going well with you!

I LOVE THE INVITES!!!! They look great!

Thank you for coming by and taking a look! I appreciate your lovely comment as well :goodvibes

they came out so pretty! Great job! :thumbsup2

Thank you Jennifer! I have been regularly visiting your TR and it looks wonderful! It seems like you had a great honeymoon!

Your invites turned out really good!

Thank you! I am glad that you think so!

Thanks Joanne! It makes me feel better to read everyone's positive comments! And it is definitely not too late for the hair vote - I won't be going for my appointment until the end of August. Hopefully the updo works well with my hair!

the invites turned out great, I love the colors. The hair thing can be tricky. I have fine straight hair that normally doesn't hold a curl but when I had my trial it actually stayed. I like the look of updo's but it's just not me, so I was happy I could do 1/2 up 1/2 down. It'll be good to test it out though and see if you like it.

Thank you! Hairdressers do seem to be able to get our hair to do some things we cannot do on our own, but historically my hair doesn't hold curls very well :rotfl: Hopefully I will get to try both styles at my trial and see which one actually looks best on me. I appreciate your opinions!

I have more updates! Things have been happening non-stop lately :rotfl: As you obviously know we are having a Disney wedding - which is much more "me" than DF. He has been to Disney (I took him for his first trip a couple of years ago!) and he enjoyed himself, but he is not a fanatic like me.

So since early on in the planning, I have been trying to get DF to find ways to include more of his personality into the wedding. I have not had a whole lot of success with this - other than his choice of sand ceremony sand colours lol So I have been on the lookout for ways to incorporate him!

A couple of weeks ago, I found these amazing cufflinks on ebay and couldn't pass them up!

DF is a hugeeee KISS fan - always has been, always will be - so I thought that was something that should be incorporated into our wedding day. We are also using one of their songs as our first dance song - most people look at me like I am crazy when I say that haha But DF really likes the cufflinks and I am super excited about them too!

Today is

2 Months until our DFTW!!

I cannot believe how time flies!! In honour of this milestone lol I am going to post another to do list for what I still have left!

- Finish/mail invitations for our home party in October (the ones for Disney are done!)
- Choose our music for our ceremony (I think I may have been procrastinating on this one)
- Finish my ceremony program fans
- Create my seating chart and table names (which I cannot do until I hear from my planner about tables!)
- Make final centrepiece and linen decision (again, waiting to hear)
- Get my dress hemmed (I have already spoken to my seamstress, it is just a matter of going)
- Finish my welcome newsletter for the guest rooms
- Attend my hair trial at home (August 27th)
- Figure out who is going to do our toast!
- Find a guestbook/toasting glasses
- Get wedding bands resized closer to the wedding day (our jeweller does it same day)
- Make our final payments!
- Finish packing (I put our suitcases in my home office and have been sort of packing things here and there for months - I really like to be organized lol)

So not that much left to do, and most things are started but just not completed yet. We are getting closer!

deleting my response to your rant :)

Thanks for the comment :goodvibes I think that there are just so many emotions involved in our weddings that it is easy for things to feel out of control. June is usually the busiest wedding month of the year (at least where I am from) so perhaps that is what led to some of the problem.

Sorry that you're having difficulties getting ahold of of DFTW. I didn't get to read the rant but I'm sorry that you're upset. Hope you are able to get the answer you want. I'm now less than a month away and sometimes it takes a few days to get a responce as well.

Thanks for your supportive comment. I am feeling a little bit better now.

I am choosing to blow past the last few posts and get onto a more positive note. I am super excited about the whole trip/wedding/marriage!

If you missed it, check out the post with DF's cufflinks! I am so happy with them!

I will do a little to do list update to get back on track:
- Finish/mail invitations for our home party in October (the ones for Disney are done!)
- Choose our music for our ceremony (I think I may have been procrastinating on this one)
- Finish my ceremony program fans (I have already started, they just aren't done)
- Create my seating chart and table names (I did hear back, we will have 5 tables of 8, so now I just have to set up my chart and choose names)
- Make final centrepiece and linen decision (We will be using the silver vases with roses! Still waiting for one more reply about linens)
- Get my dress hemmed (I have already spoken to my seamstress, it is just a matter of going)
- Finish my welcome newsletter for the guest rooms
- Attend my hair trial at home (Appointment booked for August 27th)
- Figure out who is going to do our toast!
- Find a guestbook/toasting glasses
- Get wedding bands resized closer to the wedding day (our jeweller does it same day)
- Make our final payments!
- Finish packing (I put our suitcases in my home office and have been sort of packing things here and there for months - I really like to be organized lol)
- I went with my dad and brothers to get measured for their tuxes today - done!

I can't believe you've started packing! With my wedding a month before tyours I haven;t done any of it yet  Well once Stampede is finished I'll be a lot less crazy at work and then it will be wedding time and then it will be your wedding time!!!

:rotfl: I just took out our suitcases a few months ago (when we started really buying wedding stuff) and left them in my office at home. So every time we bought something or came across something at home that we wouldn't use until the wedding, I tossed it into the suitcases. It will be a lot less I will have to do when it comes to crunch time. I like to be organized (I also have packing lists that I typed up) and I am so excited about finally getting back to Disney that I couldn't help myself.

I posted this:
Stampede and work, eh. Where are you from? That sounds like an interesting job.

And then I looked:
and saw that you are from Calgary haha. That was my guess when you said Stampede. Still sounds like it could be interesting!

Our weddings are going to be here before we know it. Are you stressed at all yet?

Not stressed excited!!!

Yeah I work at a large (the largest in calgary) hotel downtown so we have dinners and gin brekafasts for the next week until Stampede is over. The "fun" part are the breakfasts where everyone is drunk by 10am :scared1:

I just found your PJ and everything is awesome!!! I love the hair styles that you have picked they are very similar to what I am considering. Your invites are spectacular. How did you make them????

If you go with the last hair style I have a few diffrent pictures of it. I was going to go with that but hten I went with the Breakfast at Tiffinay's look. I have always been an Audry fan.
