Okay, this has nothing to do with the podcast, and perhaps is better suited for the Orlando attractions page, but under risk of getting bumped, here goes.

As a longtime lover of White Castle (perhaps its because I love playing the role of Wimpy from Popeye and ordering a sackful of burgers) I was THRILLED to stumble across Krystal Burger while on a recent trip to The World. Small square burgers steamed in onions and stuffed in a box that you order by the dozen..well, that I ordered by the dozen. Unfortunately, neither White Castle nor Krystal Burger is located anywhere near my home in Central New York. Perhaps I'd feel differently if these were available for consumption any time, any day. But....the discovery of Krystal has made a great trip to Orlando, even better:thumbsup2

I love both White Castle and Krystals. Figured they are the same. :confused3 Someone will surely disagree. :lmao:

When I would stay with my granny we would go to a Krystals and get a sack of burgers. I sure love 'em and wish we had them near me. The DW still picks on me when we pulled off the Interstate in GA to get a sack of Krystals.

I keep joking that I will leave the WDW and drive out to get a Krystals. :thumbsup2

Guess I need to Google a Krystals near WDW. ;)

Later,
Dan

Did you know that you can get WC in the frozen section of the supermarket?

I know it's not the same... but well.... :confused3[/url]

Not the same but better than nothing.

Hate to say it.....

But I used to eat them for breakfast. :scared1::rotfl2:

Later,
Dan

We stopped at Krystal when we drove back to Indy from Orlando in May.

I LOVE the Corn Pups!!!!!!!

I think Krystal is better!

And they are great. One minute in the microwave and you are munching on these little pillows of Burger Bliss. They come in cheese too. I'm from Philly and we don't have any WCs here anymore. I was thrilled when I found these in the frozen food section of our Walmart. YUM!!

Krystal's tend to sit better in the Gastric system over White Castles in my opinion. I agree with Chris that they are better the White Castles but we only have White Castle in my neck of the woods.

If your grocery doesn't carry White Castle's, you can order them online and they will ship them to you.

About the frozen White Castles...

Ignore the directions on the box; microwaves do not a good burger make.

Thaw them out in the fridge overnight. Then *steam* them in your steamer basket for 30 seconds or so. Makes ALL the difference in the world.

Six of those suckers go down in no time. :rolleyes1

Never had WC but we have Krystals all over here (just north of Orlando). I love them but they are not great later! So we very very very rarely eat them, like less than once a year.

Murder Burgers, from what my NYC friends tell me, as in what these little gems do to your gastrointestinal system. Again, if these were available on every street corner, like McDonalds or Burger King, I wouldn't go ga ga over them. But in upstate NY, we have very little in terms of burger choices (although Five Guys did just open up locally). And while I'm sure many of my burger buddies on the boards would argue that Five Guys is a much better burger (and indeed it is), it's kinda like apples and oranges. C'mon people, how can you resist?
