So I finally made it over here to create my own journal. As of tomorrow I will have been on WW's for ONE WHOLE WEEK :bounce: This whole eating and writing it all down is tedious...but boy does it work. So far I've done pretty well. I'm allowed 31 points a day and have stayed under that number all but 1 day...and I used flex points for the extra's.
Adjusting to portion control is another challenge in our house. My husband loves extra servings of food...but I have to remind him that one is enough. Thankfully he's counting points along with me. That made grocery shopping much easier. We even bought a food scale on Saturday.

I'll check in again tomorrow after the first weigh in :hyper:
 
Kristy, welcome to the WISH Journal board and best wishes for a happy weigh-in tomorrow!! It's great that DH is counting points with you - makes it easier!

I'm "unofficially" doing WW also- counting points is really working for me too. I agree it helps if DH is along for the ride - although mine seems to be slacking lately. :eek:

Woohoo.... went to the weigh in and I've lost 5.2 pounds so far!!

Journaling what I eat is the biggest key for me. It's amazing how many calories some things have.

LOL Thanks everyone!!

Yesterday was an OK day. Had a major PMS headache/migraine...and just HAD to have chocolate..so I ate 3 somoa cookies for three points. :o Still managed to only use 27 points for the day.

Today is much better...so far I've had cereal and a banana for 4 points. Have my apple and pineapple for snacks later today...that's another 4 points. I'll probably have chicken and veggies for lunch...or maybe a salad. Depends on what the cafeteria has to offer today.

Way to make the cravings fit into your program! You had your endulgance and made it accomodate to your plan for the day. That is what get you to goal.

Thanks Beth. I'm fighting the cravings again tonight. At the moment I want a pizza, a sub, cheez-its, alfredo, ice cream...and anything else that I don't currently have in the house :p guess it's good that they aren't here :o

WHEW!!!! Good afternoon. It's beautiful here today. Got up this morning and cooked breakfast. We had 3 pancakes and 1/8 cup of syrup each. Total of 6 points. Then I decided to break out my Tai-bo tapes that I've had for years but never used. I think I did possibly 4 minutes of the instructional video and was already worn out. After that I went downstairs to the garage and hubby showed me several upper body exercises with the bench and dumbells. My shoulders are feeling it...but it feels good to work up a sweat.
Now I'm off to a bubble bath. We're scheduled to go out to dinner tonight...just not sure where yet...originally we were going for seafood but that may change since I see Applebee's has so many new options.

Hey Valerie thanks for checking in. Things have been busy and I've been posting everywhere but I own journal ;) I was down 1.6 pounds at weigh in :)

1.6 pounds is awesome :D ! I'm going to be missing the race tomorrow because we have to go bowling for dh's brother's birthday :rolleyes: . I'd rather stay home ;) . Have a good one :wave: .
