Kristin's Journal.... posts welcome

Way to go with the loss Kristin...I agree...stay off that scale in the evening!! You are doing awesome...I just caught up with all you've been going through w/ Mom. Sorry that you have to go through that.

Keep up the great work!! Enjoy that burger...but as long as it was just one..and you'll move on and be back on plan!

Have a great weekend and Easter!

Day 10

Not sure if I am going to get any excersise in the rest of the weekend. For the past 10days I have been pushing myself as far as I could, between walking a mile everyday, swimming with the kids 3times and lets not forget the session from hell with the weight curcuit and the elliptical thing.

Well long story short my mussles have been screaming at me the last 10 days and they went into shock after the curcuit and elliptical thing. So now I can barely get up and down the stairs and everything feels like I was beat on.

Physically my heart wants to but my brain is saying take it easy and stretch the next couple of days to get these mussles back in shape.

Drinking a slim fast now and going back to bed....I did not want to take Ibeprofen on an empty stomach.

I will get to everyones journal throughout the day. Since thats the only thing on me that does not hurt......MY FINGERS!!! :rotfl2:

You definitely need a good day of rest Kristin, so take it. Overdoing will just make things worse and you don't want that. I think that the amount of energy you have put behind the exercise has been great (and tiring to read)! Keep up the good work and have a great Easter. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Goood Morning guys... Sorry I have been MIA for the last few. Physically my body felt like poo poo and mentally my mom put me threw the ringer. I refused to go to Easter at my moms because some more stuff was said on her part that I don't think I can forgive or forget. So WW3 occured because she could not see her precious grandbabies. Did not really care about not see me :confused3

Sooooo went to hubbies families and enjoyed myself and I can say I ate way to much. Pretty much like I would in the old days. I know it was emotional eatting but between my body and my thoughts I just did not have the will power to say no.

Still a bit sore but I know I can work out and that is the plan for the day. Get one mile in before noon and tonight I have an appt with the fit start lady at the Y. Not sure what she is going to do to me but I am sure it is not good.

Not sure if I am going to get on the elliptical thing again today. My muscle is still pretty tender from pulling it. I still want to laugh that I can pull a muscle after only 5min on that elliptical thing.

Thanks guys for letting me vent.

Kristin

Hang in there Kristin. :grouphug: Family wars are rough, but don't let that sabotage your plans. Remember, it is all about control. Think of it this way......every time you go off plan because of your mom, you are letting her have all the power and she is winning. SO, Time to TAKE BACK YOUR POWER today and make yourself the healthiest person you can be!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am glad you had a great Easter regardless. Here's hoping that your fit start lady doesn't have too much torture planned for the day. :rotfl2: ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hang in there Kristin! Family situations like that can be challenging, but it's wonderful that you were still able to have a great Easter. :goodvibes

Have a great day today! :flower:

Good for you for setting a boundary with your mom and standing your ground! Bravo! You should be darn proud of yourself!!!

Glad to hear you were still able to salvage a decent Easter!

Have fun with the fit start lady!!! You can do it! :cheer2:

Hey Kristin...don't let your mom wreck all that hard work you've been giving to this plan...you can do this!! Stay focused!! Good luck with the fit lady...just think a few weeks ago...you couldn't see yourself working out..and now you do...you've come a long way in a short time!! Keep it up!! One day at a time!!

Hi Kristin,

I think you are an amazing woman. I have issues with my MIL. We have taken the situation to the extreme. I have let her derail my program, mental state, andhealth on multiple occasions. You held your ground this weekend, and didn't let her ruin your holiday. I am proud of you.

Try an arc-trainer at the Y. They are usually behind the ellipticals, and they work similar to the elliptical, but is easier and safer. You can still burn major calories. It is what I use. I started out at 7 minutes. I can now do 90 minutes. I think you will like it.

Tke care,
Beth

Goodness it has been such a long time since I have posted. Well my mom got the best of me and all the stress that I put on a whopping 25pounds. Making the wonderfull scale 315. I am in shock.....so tomorrow starts my new fresh start. I have been going to the gym 2times a week and working on the eliptical machine. At first I could barely make it 3min on it LOL but now I am up to almost 10min. I have not been eatting on plan but that starts tomorrow. I will try really hard to start catching up on others posts. Sorry again guys for being MIA.

Kristin

Sat Morning

Eatting a bowl of cherrios....which I have not done since grade school and reading posts.

Plan for the day since TOM arrived is eat on plan and clean the house like it has never been cleaned before. No visit to the gym.

Hi Kristin!

Welcome Back! :goodvibes We are cheering you on to VICTORY! :cheer2: I know you CAN do it!!!! :cool1:

I'm sorry that things have been tough with your mom. Please know that we are here for you not only to cheer you on to victory, but to listen and encourage you as well. :grouphug:

Take care Kristin! This is a brand new start to a brand new you! :goodvibes :Pinkbounc

Hey, Kristin!

Glad to see you back. I really missed you. Sorry to hear that the stress factor hasn't been so good, but you have definitely done the right thing by getting back here and focusing again on your health.

I have found that it is helpful to post the stresses in my life along with my daily plans. It seems to help get them out in the open, vent, and makes me more aware if I am eating from stress. If so, it is easier to stop.

Looking forward to hearing more. Keep up the great start! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Went to the store last night and got hopefully all the food I will need to keep me on track. Did not buy anything yummy for the kids.....they are gonna kill me. So here I am it is 6:50 and doing the slim fast thing. Plan for the day is do slim fast for breakfast and lunch have some carrots and apples as a snack. If I start to loose it I have some pretzels also.

Going to the gym tonight with friends...I will only be able to do the eliptical because our new puppy took me out yesterday and I hit my knee cap on the floor so low impact for a while.

Kristin

Stocking up on good foods is really key. Why is it that we buy healthy stuff for ourselves when we want to lose weight, make a lifestyle change, and become healthier, yet we still keep buying "junk" for the rest of the family? :confused3 I've done it too. It's almost as if we don't want to impose upon our families when in reality the good stuff would be good for them as well and maybe prevent them from going through all this later. (uh......time to go clean out my cupboards some more...... :rolleyes1 )

You're back on the right track. Take it easy on the knee and have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Welcome Back Kristin,

You've been missed. Sorry to hear about all of your stress. I agree with the others. Use your journal to vent and use it for a sounding board. it is much better to get stuff out than it is to internalize it.

Take care,
Beth

For the most part I am pretty proud of yesterday. Not to proud of the kit kat that went in my belly but still way under the normal calorie intake. My knee is still achy but not keeping me from moving. Tonight I have to take both german sheppards to the vet for shots. Wonder if that counts as a workout :rotfl: The plan for the day is slim fast carrots for breakfast and lunch and a huge huge salad for dinner. Not sure what protein I will throw in with it but will have something.

As far as working out I will get something in.....maybe the firm abs, since that will not mess with my knee.

Take care everyone

Kristin

Hi Kristin!

I definitely think that taking two German Shepherds to get their shots counts as exercise. ::yes:: :teeth:

Keep up the good work and be sure to take care of your knee.

Have a great day! :flower:

Hope your knee is feeling better now. Looks like you are doing good at getting the food back in line. Have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo
