I know that there is a Krispy Kreme near WDW. Is that the closest one to Universal and, if so, how far away is it?

Only 2 in Orlando one in Kissimmee and the other in Winter Park.
They do sell the doughnuts at both USF and IOA , my boys made that breakfast a few times!

Croissant Moon Bakery right inside IOA sells Krispy Kreme Donuts. Great place to stop on your way to the rides in the A.M.

But I'm spoiled...(hear me whining! ) I want the hot ones that are right of the line. We've been known to call KK stores to find out when the hot ones are being made. There is nothing better than a hot KK.

I'd definitely recommend the KK in Kissimmee as you will not have to go through downtown Orlando to get there. Especially if you're looking to get them "hot & fresh" for breakfast.

I'll have you know that I "pretend" to go to Orlando to visit Disney and Universal every year with the family - but the truth is, I really go to get KK donuts...................

I will never forget the time when a concierge staff member told me to go to this little food store after midnight because they get their delivery of HOT KK around midnight - the HRH staff are known to make a donut run around that time. I decided to jump in the car at midnight while my dh and ds's were asleep! Only to find that the store did not get their delivery until 2am. When I came back to the room, poor DH was up and "worried", I felt terrible. He said "where were you"? I told him "out scouting for KK donuts". He looked at me in total "shock" and "disbelief" - I am lol right now just remembering the look on his face............. Geez, I felt like I was revisiting my college days........

After all that, I agree with the above poster. "We" now drive to the one in Orlando to buy them. We do this on the first or second day we arrive..........We always buy several dozen and heat them up in the micro for snacks during our stay.

My first hot KK was in Orlando over a year ago when I went with my sister. Last June we were driving to Chicago and I made sure that we stopped at a KK on the trip, even though it meant driving a couple miles off the freeway on what was a very quick weekend trip. My husband thought that I was crazy for wanting to do this until he tasted them. Now he totally understands and is willing to call KK stores when we are near them to find out when the hot ones are ready. We've gone to most of the Baltimore locations (about an hour away) and will think of excuses to go to Baltimore just to have them. lol Needless to say I know where they are on our route to Florida and am glad that Mapquest can search for them when planning a route. They are so good!

When we stayed at the AKL concierge I asked if they served KK in concierge. The didn't normally, but did get us some! They gave us a bunch and I was in KK heaven. That was before I'd tasted them hot, though.
