Krispy Kreme Donuts

Does anyone know if they're still serving Krispy Kreme donuts on board the Magic? They had served them in the past (right out of the KK boxes!).

We were on the 9/25 (really 9/27 - "jeanne") Magic cruise - and YES - they had Krispy Kreme donuts at Topsiders for breakfast.
My husband made a special comment that they even had them on board. They were YUM !!

They better be - I'm counting on having one of the vanilla creme filled ones every morning for breakfast in August!

You can order KK from room service for breakfast, as well. We, too, like the creme filled...we noted that on our room service card and they brought them every morning for us!

The donuts onboard are good, but they can't compare to a freshly made Krispy Kreme. The Krispy Kreme donuts served onboard are frozen for up to 2 weeks and then thawed before serving.

If you've never had a hot Krispy Kreme, you owe it to yourself to try one someday. Warning, they are very addictive!

I agree...the KK's we had were cold and soggy. Blech. There were much better pastry selections at the buffet.

I went to college in Winston-Salem - home of KK - back in the 80s. It was a late night tradition on the weekends to make a KK run for a few hot ones.

I agree - anything less than a hot, fresh donut won't do!

Wow, the memories come flooding back. I went to college in Tennessee and the nearest Kk shop was about 15 miles away. We would go down there about 11PM on Saturday nights and get fresh donuts. Sometimes we had to wait until they came off the conveyour belt, they would dip them in the glaze and hand them to us. They would be so hot, you could barely hold them. They just literally dripped off your hand into your mouth! For a sugar addict, that is pure paradise!

I lived in Winston-Salem for a few years too.........you can eat six hot donuts now and then realize when your belly starts to ache what you did but when they are fresh and hot off the belt they melt in your mouth.

Good to see some people that live or once lived close to me. I live about an hour away from Winston, in Virginia. We frequent the mall and restaurants there often.

Oh so true....in CT there is a Casino - Moeghan Sun - that has several KK stores inside. There is one huge one where you can sit and watch them make them....sometimes, you have to wait for the little fat pills to slide off the conveyor so they can pack them into your box...Now that is fresh....

MMMMMMMM - brings a tear to my eye. When we are up there...we go to the Casino - not to gamble - but to get the tasty little fat pills.

OK. I see that the KK donuts have been on the Magic. What about the Wonder? I will be onboard in less than three weekes (YEAH! ) and I would LOVE to have some KK donuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are my absolute favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go to Mohegan Sun for the exact same reason.

You should have seen me at Donald's Breakfastsaurus - we had the last seating and the donuts were all gone by my thrid trip - imagine that - so our CM brought me out a plate of something like ten donuts all for me - of the kind I wanted.

I was in heaven!!!!!
