Krispy Kreme coming to Hamilton

Rumor has it that Krispy Kreme is taking over the old Nickels restaurant on Upper James.Thats exactly what I need.That hot donut sign calling me in.Well,at least I live in walking distance and I can get my daily exercise,LOL.

Oh my goodness! Good news as we can head to Weight Watcher's a few steps from KK then head up to KK to celebrate our weight loss????

Kelly where did you hear this from? DH says that we'll never see a KK in Hamilton due to Hamilton being the birthplace of Timmies!

I heard just tonight on the TV, that there are 86 Tim Horton's in Hamilton! 86!!!!

You lucky Hamiltonians if it's true that KK is coming to town!

LOL bunnyfoo I used to attend WW. But if you know this particular area of Hamilton that Kelly's talking about then you would chuckle as WW is only a 2 minute walk to the (hopefully) new KK.

And yes you would need all of your points for one of these.

I never thought that we would get a KK... mostly because we are a Tim Hortons city! but that is really cool... can't wait to try them out again, been far to long since I had one of those... yummy!

Poor Hamilton getting a KK hehe the one in London is across the road from a Timmies and when it forst opened Tims was always dead now it is the other way around KK is like a ghost town and Timmies is always busy again. Guess cuz it was new but that has gone away now.

We know someone who works at the Winner's at the mall there and some workers told him that was what is going in.They are going to have to do something to put a drive thru in there though.
There is three Tim Hortons within a block of this place.Lots of competition.

Oh boy this will be great if it comes here. My DB lives about a 2 minute drive from the one in Mississauga and before that store opened he always brought a couple of bottles of nice wine when he and my sister-in-law came for dinner but since KK opened in Mississauga he brings 2 dozen KK's!

I don't like Timmie's donuts at all.

Wow we may be able to head on up to Upper James now and they'll start bringing wine again!lol

We just got a KK in Syracuse NY, and after having tried one of their donuts, I don't understand all the hype. Yes, they're good, but I'd take a donut from Tim's any day over a KK donut.

I totally agree Syracusewolvrine I much prefer the TIMS donuts and drinks over the KK stuff ours in London is now very quiet after the flury of the grand opening etc.

I don't get all the hype either...when we were in California last year we tried KK donuts. It was OK, but we much prefer Tim Horton's. A new KK opened out here a couple of weeks ago and people were camped out to be the first ones in! For a donut??

Oh well...

KK opened it's first location in BC a few weeks ago and after taking my 16 yr old dd to YVR at 5:30 am Sunday (off to Ottawa for the week for the Encounters with Canada program) we stopped at the Delta location. I had tried KK in Las Vegas before and thought they were pretty good. My sister couldn't understand why people would line up for donuts until we were trying to decide what to get at the counter and they handed us a free, fresh, hot, glazed and mmmmmm awesome! Now she's converted! We like Timmy's too, but it's sure nice to have a change, especially the Key Lime donuts, my favourite so far!

Apparently BC is getting 7 more in the next 3 years.

A taste of air! They are wonderful when they are fresh, hot and free. Just think, if I take my whole family...that's a half-dozen free. (assuming that the oldest wouldn't be caught dead in the van with us ) Then the cost per dozen comes down to something reasonable.
