What can 1 CS Credit get you at Kringla Bakeri og Cafe?

Dbf and I love their salmon and egg sandwich, but more specifically, can we get the sandwich + any bakery item + drink as 1 credit? :rolleyes1

Ooh cup of soup too?? Do you remember what kind?

And they let you have schoolbread? (This is what I was curious about... the schoolbread or the sweet pretzel being allowed on a CS credit!)

We've gotten may a sweet pretzel and school bread with a SC and plan on getting more this Sept. But never went and used a CS there. Wonder what kind of sandwiches do they have there? Seems like a real good deal.:cool1: :hippie:

They have an interesting smoked salmon and egg sandwich that dbf and I used to get a lot. I have also seen turkey and jarlsberg. The smoked salmon and egg one is so good! But you gotta be a smoked salmon fan as it tends to be fishy!

I think we had a potato leek soup? I remember it was really good. It was a soup/sandwich combo, and included rice cream or veiled maiden for dessert...I think we bought our piece of school bread with a separate snack credit, but we didn't think to ask if we could substitute it for the dessert that came with the meal.

I've eaten there several times on the DDP and yes you can substitute, but must ask. We've gotten school bread, pretzels, strawberry cheesecake, berry tarts, and chocolate cake as a CS dessert along with the soup and sandwich combo. They also give you a large soda there if you ask for it, whereas the French bakery gives only a medium size soda. The soup is usually potato leek, but last Dec they had a seafood bisque, which was very good. One note though, if you haven't eaten there in awhile, the bread has changed. It OK, but not that good Norwegian bread they had before. Also the sandwiches were no longer being served open faced, but now have a top piece of bread on them.

Wow, that sounds like a deal. What kind of sandwiches do they have there?

We used SC there for school bread and french horns. I don't remember the exact dollar amount but I want to say anything $4 and under you can use a SC, but don't hold me to that amount. We bought water and things that $2. and under to save our snack credits for better things. Last trip used them for things at Kringla, dole floats & figaro fries, ice cream from the ice cream shop on Main Street, treats at goofy's candy factory, and breadsticks at Pizzafari. All really great treats and we felt like we got more bang for the buck.
