Kraken

I just got back (to Nebraska, 5 inches of snow) from a week in Orlando. I haden't been there in four years so this was the first time I got to ride Kraken. I have to say it is one of the best roller coasters I have ever ridden, and I have been on quite a few. I am glad to see that Sea World is committed to not only having world class shows, but also world class thrill rides (with the exception of Wild Arctic).

Does anyone else think that this coaster is one of the best? Or am I the minority?

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in.

I think it's one of the better B&M loopers in existance, but I am not a fan of the loopers. Out of 129 coasters (more to come), only 3 in my top 25 invert. I like the freedom of lap bar coasters specifically woodies and hypers over the constraining same ole same ole layouts of loopers.

Kraken is one of my favorites. I prefer the wooden coasters. The Beast at PKI is my favorite. Kraken is great...very smooth, no boxing of the ears. I love Journey to Atlantis too.

Kraken is a pretty good ride and very smooth, but not the best coaster around. The best floorless IMHO is Batman: Knight Flight at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. I'd still ride Kraken though because it is a good ride.

Loopers tend to have similar elements because there are only so many ways to turn you upside down. I like the zero-g roll. I'm not into cobra rolls, though.

Since we are speaking of wooden coasters, my favorites are Hersheypark's Lightning Racer and Celebration City's Ozark Wildcat.

My husband and I rode Kraken for the first time in Oct. We loved it! (daughter, 7, was very upset that she wasn't tall enough to ride. Next trip she will be). I think it is my favorite roller coaster, BUT, I must say I have not been to US yet. My coaster experience consists of Six Flags Great Adventure, Hershey Park, and WDW.

I also love Kraken. It's so smooth and longer than a lot of other coasters.

We just rode "Kraken" for the first time during our trip last week and we LOVED it - the "Volcano" at PKD is still our favorite but that came close!

Kraken is my favorite coaster. I love coasters but can not take rough/jerky ones anymore. The ride is so smooth.

We like Kraken better than Batman at Worlds of Adventure. We just prefer the style. We do like the small overbanked turn on Batman though.
