Kouzzina or Boma

Breakfast or dinner? And depends where else I was eating and what my park plans were. I'd probably opt to give up something else instead.

Dinner...

We are only there 5 nights (at POP)

Night one Friday - Not going to any parks - Raglan Road DTD

Night two Saturday - Epcot - Teppan Edo (not an option to cancel)

Night three - HS then The Wave for dinner then to MK (EMH)

Night four - Mk - then to Boma for dinner - then Epcot (EMH)

Night five - AK - then to HS - Mama Melrose for Fantasmic Package

All these meals are dinner - breakfast in room.

I wouldn't. We really enjoyed the Boma dinner. Tried lots of new things - some we liked, some we didn't and we left stuffed! And the pineapple cheesecake is soooo awesome :)

I would probably not choose Kouzzina over Boma based on the food at the restaurants you just posted--I like a lot of variety.

But I might choose Kouzzina over Boma based on location--in order to not have to go all the way to the AKL and back between the MK and Epcot. It would save a lot of time to just take the bus from MK to the Boardwalk, eat, then walk to Epcot instead of taking the bus all the way to AKL and all the way back to Epcot.

Have you eaten at Boma before?

If Cat Cora is running Kouzzina, I'm sure everything will be top notch.

This is my first time in 20+ years ago and the first time for my family. We hear good things about Cat Cora and was looking for opinions. Somehow it was easier before internet although the last time I went it was the 25th Anniversary and the Park was full. Now I keep second guessing my choices and getting conflicting reports on which park to visit which day etc. We are there Sat - Wed on site with dining and then five days off site but will not be paying for dinners on site.

Since you haven't eaten at Boma before, I think my recommendation would be to do that one first. We liked Boma (and the AKL is beautiful!) but we're doing Kouzzina this time since we're always looking for something new to try (and after 8 trips in the past 10 years, it's getting harder and harder!). As a PP mentioned, it will take a good chunk of time to travel all the way to AKL, have dinner, and then travel to Epcot, but if you're ok with that then Boma would be the most unique experience! HTH!

We always enjoy Boma - BUT given your plans for that day, I would suggest you go ahead and give Kouzinna a try. Unless you want to spend most of your afternoon/evening on bus transfers, it will be much easier to eat at Kouzinna and then just walk into Epcot for the evening activities.

I'm anticipating a good meal from Cat Cora - we will be trying Kouzinna in October.

Either way - ENJOY!

Boma is my absolute favorite restaurant at WDW and is usually my only ADR, so I wouldn't give it up. Boma is a very easy way to get into African cuisine. It is kind of simplified for the normal palate but is still great food. It is not as scary as some make it out, I have had many of my FL friends meet me there for dinner and always loved it. There are also plenty of safe options for adults and for kids.

I'd go to both. :)

Seriously, this is hard. Boma is great but Cat Cora is bound to have a winner there too. Ugh, I'd hate to choose.

Thanks for the help - I think we will stick with Boma - but didn't realize the travel time as we are used to Disneyland, so we are going to do AK that day and then to Epcot after dinner.
