Kouzzina by Cat Cora??????

Any comments on the Breakfast?

We don't have REssies but are hoping to "walk up " in May...

Hugs,
Mary

I'm Greek and so looking forward to eating here in August but this makes me laugh. It is actually OPA! Oompah is the term for the German/Austrian music. Or am I confusing it with the oompah loompahs?:lmao:

Ooooops. Sorry about that. You are right. I got my countries mixed up!:goodvibes

We are going for breakfast in April and I can't wait! May have to go for dinner as well.

Loved the food :goodvibes but the biggest dissapointment was that they flame the saganaki in the kitchen rather than at your table :sad2: I guess they consider it a fire hazard but geez that's half the fun! :headache:

I love saganaki! I've noticed a lot of the Greek restaurants have gone to bringing it out already flamed. You're right, that is half the fun!

And MissyTara, I was just teasing.:goodvibes

I tried it a couple of weeks ago. The food is very good, not excellent. I had the spinach pie and my hubby had the grape leaf for appetizer (both yummy). My husband had the lamb shank and I had the flank steak. Shank was good, flank steak was too salty for me. I did have the BEST Brussel Sprouts I ever had.
The only problem was we had the WORST waitress ever. Her name was Gia. She was lazy and couldn't care less about any of her guests. She did not bring us bread in the beginning. I had to ask her twice and then she went and set an empty table before bringing us the bread. She NEVER refilled our Iced teas. I had to ask her SEVERAL times to get it refilled just once. When I called her, she said to me, "Sorry, I was tuning you out".
The restaurant wasn't crowded and the other servers seemed very attentive to their guests. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and lively...I like that. I've been going to WDW since 1983 and NEVER had such a bad server.
That being said, I will be going back in the summer (my adult children are coming with us and they want to try it). I will make sure Gia is NOT my server.
Another thing that bothered me was that they served me my spinach pie about 15 FULL minutes before they gave my husband his grape leaf. Gia said that's because they serve the food as it's done to maintain the integrity of the dish. I can understand that, BUT, the spinach pie had to be cooked and the grape leaf is a cold dish that is put together in a few minutes, so that didn't make any sense.
Anyway, if you like Greek food, you should like Kouzzina. I will give them another chance.

I really had to laugh reading this one. I'll be sure to ask to have my seat moved if I find out Gia is my server when I go....but I've been to Greece several times and they don't exactly worry about being on time over there!!
As for the appetizers not arriving on time, the kitchen is supposed to time the preparation so they are both ready at the same time, Chef Ramsey would have a few choice words for them (Hell's Kitchen).

Chef Ramsay is NOT a Disney chef...

I must say I have seen reviews that trashed the whole fish, my mother and I loved the fish we had last September. Almost time to go back and try another one and see if it held up. That is, if they don't stop offering it because folks were freaked out by it.

I haven't tried it yet, but have an ADR for our trip in may. Can't wait...

This place gets such mixed reviews that I'm just going to try it for myself to form my own opinion. I had decided to cancel my ADR in May, but I'm going to keep it. I think will all WDW restaurants you're going to have that mixed opinion. :confused3

That being said, I'm excited to try those doughnuts!!

Goat Cheese-stuffed Grape Leaf - Large Grape Leaf filled with Herbed Goat Cheese and Grilled (Kouzzina)

my hubby and I really enjoyed it in October. We are going again in september. We had the seafood stew YUMMY!!!! We went for breakfast, I had the spinach/feta omlet, it was good.

Much better than when it was spoodles, we were hesitant about going back, because the service we got at spoodles, was so bad..but we stay at BWI/BWV and like to eat there a few nights.
