Traveling to the world in September and staying at the BWV. I have been looking for some reviews on the new Kouzzina.......... Any comments?????? :confused3:confused3 Would really like to try it when we go.

It's on my list for November. I have gotten great feedback form alot of people and have seen great reviews - of course there are a few people who didn't like it for one reason or another. Evidently, it is a bit loud and the kitchen staff shouts Ooopa!, but that's part of the Greek themeing. The Pasticcio (spelling) is supposed to be fabulous.
I'm really looking forward to trying it.

When we went last year, Kouzzina was still pretty new & getting spotty reviews, so we only had breakfast there. Our breakfast was so good, we ate another one there.

This trip, reviews seem better & based on that & our positive breakfast experiences, we're going to try dinner.

the folks who like greek food are saying they like it

those that are not sure about greek food, some like it and some are not crazy about it

I personally do not care for the menu and will not be trying it. Don't care for the breakfast menu or the dinner menu.

If you like the menu, give it a try! It might be one of your new favorites :woohoo:

We went there in Jan. and enjoyed it. A couple of things were on the spicy side for me (the skewers that were part of the Kouzzina sampler appetizer). Overall it was a good experience and I'd go back.:thumbsup2

It was our favorite meal of the entire week.

Try their signature Sangria..... we had a few of the appetizers, and I had their salad (with spicy cashews and lemon viniagrette). Fabulous.

I had the Pastisio and it was very filling and to die for.

I had the loukoumades (fried donut holes drizzled in warm honey with a dipping sauce).

The place is louder than most, because the kitchen is open to the restaurant. Since I eat out a great deal, I loved it.

And they do say OOMPAH..... a lot! Our server was a wonderful young guy, who even endured having his picture taken with us!

I like it. I've had both breakfast and dinner there, and am trying to fit it into my fall trip for both meals again. I thought the food was good both times, though the dessert I had at dinner I didn't really care for, and I thought the service at breakfast was extremely slow.

If you click the link in my signature for 2009 Fall reviews, there are reviews for both meals.

I tried it a couple of weeks ago. The food is very good, not excellent. I had the spinach pie and my hubby had the grape leaf for appetizer (both yummy). My husband had the lamb shank and I had the flank steak. Shank was good, flank steak was too salty for me. I did have the BEST Brussel Sprouts I ever had.
The only problem was we had the WORST waitress ever. Her name was Gia. She was lazy and couldn't care less about any of her guests. She did not bring us bread in the beginning. I had to ask her twice and then she went and set an empty table before bringing us the bread. She NEVER refilled our Iced teas. I had to ask her SEVERAL times to get it refilled just once. When I called her, she said to me, "Sorry, I was tuning you out".
The restaurant wasn't crowded and the other servers seemed very attentive to their guests. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and lively...I like that. I've been going to WDW since 1983 and NEVER had such a bad server.
That being said, I will be going back in the summer (my adult children are coming with us and they want to try it). I will make sure Gia is NOT my server.
Another thing that bothered me was that they served me my spinach pie about 15 FULL minutes before they gave my husband his grape leaf. Gia said that's because they serve the food as it's done to maintain the integrity of the dish. I can understand that, BUT, the spinach pie had to be cooked and the grape leaf is a cold dish that is put together in a few minutes, so that didn't make any sense.
Anyway, if you like Greek food, you should like Kouzzina. I will give them another chance.

I'm Greek and so looking forward to eating here in August but this makes me laugh. It is actually OPA! Oompah is the term for the German/Austrian music. Or am I confusing it with the oompah loompahs?:lmao:

We went in December and had mixed reviews from our family. The sangria got thumbs up from both adults. I had the shellfish stew and thought it was amazing but DH had the steak and did not like it much. The bread was good. The dessert was so-so and both kid meals were good even though DD just wanted my stew.:headache: I would try it again but not in a big hurry to do so.:confused3

my bf and i thought it was one of the best meals we had during our recent january trip! he had the fishermen's stew and i had the lamb shank and both were out of this world! we will definitely be back

We really enjoyed Kouzzina last oct during free dining. We had great food and excellent service. The Fisherman stew was delicious, steak and whole fish were also very good. The desserts were so yummy, we had the baklava, loukamades, and greek cookies. It is now on our must do list for this sept.

We ate there this last December. We all, even our 4 yo loved everything about it.

It was our favorite meal of the trip, well scratch that, I forgot for a second we ate at California Grill. ;)

We ate there last september. Food was fine, server poor, manager good.

Looking forward to trying Kouzzina in June! Loved Spoodle's so I hope we like its replacement.

Loved the food :goodvibes but the biggest dissapointment was that they flame the saganaki in the kitchen rather than at your table :sad2: I guess they consider it a fire hazard but geez that's half the fun! :headache:

The kitchen is open to the dining room, though. I mean, you can see them flaming it, although it's not as exciting.

It was our 2nd favorite meal of our free dining trip last year, behind Jiko and ahead of Narcoossee's (which we also loved).
