Kouzinna is open for booking!

Just thought I'd post this here since I know alot don't look at the other boards. I just booked dinner for DH & I on Sept 30th at 8:30- I am very excited to try the Boardwalk's new restaurant!

Great! Did they mention the opening date? ETA: I just read the opening is set for 9/17. I hope there may be a soft opening in August!

NEW! Kouzzina by Cat Cora at Disney's BoardWalk is now scheduled to have its grand opening September 17, 2009. Reservations for Kouzzina may be booked starting July 24. Call 407-WDW-DINE or book online.

Don't know if that is the first date reservations are available as restaurants sometimes open before the "Grand Opening". But I would not expect it to be open more than a week earlier.

Reservations begin for new Cat Cora restaurant

Member Services is now taking dining reservations for Kouzzina by Cat Cora, a new Mediterranean eatery opening soon at the former site of Spoodles at Disney's BoardWalk Resort.

The casual, family restaurant, named for the Greek word for "kitchen," celebrates the family recipes, personal favorites and Greek heritage of the Food Network's first and only female Iron Chef. Oak-grilled steak and pork, Greek spinach pie, lamb, fresh seasonal seafood, calamari and Greek salad are among the specialties chefs will prepare in an open kitchen featuring a wood-burning grill and oak-fired ovens.

Planned meal-ending options include house-made Greek donuts, baklava and a Greek-style coffee service, while beverage options are slated to include Cat's "Ouzo-tini" and Mediterranean sangria, along with Greek beers and wines.

The restaurant is slated to begin serving breakfast and dinner daily on Aug. 15, and a grand opening celebration featuring the celebrity chef herself is planned for Sept. 17. While Disney Vacation Club Members may call Member Services for reservations, Guests may book by phone at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).

If you're dining at the restaurant for breakfast, remember to bring your Member ID Card to receive a 10 percent breakfast discount (excluding alcohol, tax and gratuities). Note that the discount is not valid on select holidays.

It is not showing Kouzzina in the online restaurant list, but Spoodles is available for booking in late September... I assume that if you book Spoodles you get Kouzzina???

Just booked mine yesterday via MS- but will not come up if u try to pull up the ressie online.

Anyone has pics of the place yet ?

I just got mine for Sept 22, although the MS lady must have made a mistake because she confirmed me for Aug 22, which I quickly got changed back to Sept 22.

It looks like PS can be made for the dates of the soft opening before the grand opening...

OMG! that is so cool - I wanted there but couldn't reserve a few weeks ago - I will be calling tomorrow to get my ADR for Sept.
