Are they still mass produced? If yes, are they mass produced on Serenity Bay as well??

Yes you can get one at Serenity Bay or anywhere on the island. I hope they are mass produced, that's our favorite drink.......going to need a lot :rotfl2:

My favorite as well. I have found them to be delicious at Serenity Bay but they do something a bit different at the bar by the family beach, they are smoother there.

I had one at Serenity Bay. Not sure what you mean by mass produced. He mixed mine up as I stood there.

I've heard that you can also get them onboard the ship, you just have to ask for one.

I had my first KK on Castaway Cay a week ago this Friday and boy, was it sure smooooooth. It was on the family beach.

Might anyone have the recipe for this??

Kat

Can you get the bartender on the ship to make you one, or are the strictly offered only at cc? :confused3

I got one on the ship. We were not able to dock at CC and I wanted to try one given all the rave here on the board. It was very good.

Good to know. They sound fantastic, but semi-drunk snorkeling and parasailing didn't sound that great to me. :lmao: Good to know I can have a couple on the ship on days where I dont have to contend with drowning or falling to my death. :rotfl2:

I saw the machine at the family beach but I don't remember seeing the machine on serenity bay.

I loved the passion margarita. I asked the bartender for one with more margarita and less passion. He gave me a glass and then another half for the rest---it was the end of the day. LOL! Gotta love two fisted drinking.

Can you only get them at CC or can you get this heavenly drink on the ship-even if it is not the drink of the day??? If so, our drink bill is going to go WAY up!!! But it will be soooo worth it! :cloud9:

I thought you would all enjoy this recipe... I got it from the Art of Entertainment class... :woohoo:

Konk Kooler:

1/2 can cream of coconut
3 ounces light rum
3 ounces dark rum
1/2 of a 12oz can frozen passion fruit juice concentrate(Welches)
4 oz of orange juice
2-3 cups of ice
Add all together in a blender until very fine and serve!

Drop the rum for a non-alcoholic version.

Assuming you've made this ... how many drinks does this recipe make?

The second I get on the ship I get a KK, it's my favorite drink of all time! It's the reason we bought a blender after our honeymoon cruise. I love drinking these on my porch pretending I am on my veranda! :cloud9: Although it did take a few tries to get the recipe right.

Now that's something I have to try! I am so used to my Long Island Iced Tea that just is so so good until you go to stand up! I may have a new favorite drink....hummmm where is my blender....:lmao:

I don't know if this has been specifically answered , but yes, you can order Konk Koolers anytime on the ship - even before you go to CC. The same bar tenders work on the ship and get off at CC to work there.

When I ordered one the second time I cruised on the first day - the bar tender said , "Oh, I see you have cruised with us before!" with a big smile. And I said - yes KEEP EM COMING! My bar tab was pretty high that first day. LOVE ME SOME KONK KOOLER!!!! :rotfl: :drinking1

That's what I was hoping to hear! Thank you. Last cruise at the family beach, they had them pre-made in a large slushy type machine. I read here the mass produced ones aren't as good, so I ordered ours directly from the bar and requested them to be made fresh. Yummy, yummy, yummy.

Our second round was brought to us by a cast member and I didn't request them to be freshly made. Yuck.

This cruise every one is old enough for Serenity Bay, so I'm very happy to hear they are made to order!!

I think they only have them mass produced when they are the drink of the day and I agree they aren't as good. But I will still drink them!:goodvibes

Yes, I have made this! :goodvibes It actually makes 2 souvenier dcl cups. I saved ours from our cruises and drink out of them often. They help me feel better on a stressful day!! :rotfl:

Oh do I love and miss my Konk Kooler... Nothing like sitting at Serenity Bay at 10AM downing your second Kooler...
