Kong Strategy Question

I hear that there is an express line now.

We will be going on Sunday for a week. Early park hour will be at Island of Adventure during or stay. We plan to be there for EH. We have Express Pass.

My thinking: go straight to Forbiden Journey then walk to Kong and wait in regular line for our first time. If we want to reride go through Express line afterwards.

Is the regular line worth it? Any other suggestions?

Sorry to hijack but our current strategy is to do to Gringotts then ride the train over and walk to Kong. If we get to Kong and realize the lines are long can we go add express pass to our tickets?

We are going on Monday September 12.

I suspect that early hour will be at Island of Adventure while you are there. Will you have early hour? If so, I would go to Kong after Forbiden Journey.

If you don't have early hour access, I would get in line early and go straight to Kong, then go to Forbidden Journey, by then the early hour people will be moving out of Forbidden Journey. I would do Gringotts in the evening or the next day, first thing in the morning.

Others with more experience will probably pipe in with suggestions.

Only 1 day for parks and not onsite. We are doing Gringotts first just in case it is a no go so that we can get it out of the way and focus on things we know everyone in the group can do if it doesn't work out.

I read from some others that they had success doing FJ during EE and then heading over to Kong as soon as cast members would allow (about 8:50) to tide it with basically no wait time.
We are planning on doing this starting Thursday.
Hopeful that we'll be able to ride without express passes this way. Also, I'm a big fan if single rider after a normal queue.....though I don't know if it is effective for this ride. Any thoughts?
