Kong dog chew toy?

Does your dog like it? When you fill it with peanut butter does it get all over the floor and/or carpet? I want to find something for Lilo to chew and have heard these are good.

We LOVE our Kongs. Winston has the black one, we have a puppy one from puppy days, and Harley has a small red one.

Sometimes I stuff it with a dry treat; sometimes frozen peanut butter, yogurt, pumpkin, cottage cheese, etc. They usually get a stuffed one when left for the day to keep them busy and eat it before it makes a mess. Freezing it helps, too.

When I'm lazy, I'll just scoop peanut butter on a treat and squish it down in there.

My dog never did care for Kongs much. But she LOVES Bully sticks. ("Bullies" "Pizzles" & "Beef Chews") They are gone is seconds flat. We can usually find them locally at the Pet Store, and sometimes feed stores carry them too.

My dogs won't touch them.

Cribbens just likes tennis balls, nothing else.

Delilah-anything she can get her mouth on. Up to and including, rubbermaid buckets, kitchen trashcans (and no she could care less what she can find inside, she chews the can itself), vacuum cleaner and my washing machine. She actually pulled the metal pipe out of the wall. She has plenty of toys, she just likes doing, what I though was, the impossible.

Our lab Maxine loves it. We stuff canned dog food in it, treats, peanut butter (but not too much because she needs to lose weight and doesn't need a lot of fat). Our vet even suggested taking her dry food mixing it with a little water and baking it then breaking apart and putting it in the kong for her so we can still watch her calories. We freeze sometimes and sometimes we don't. She gets one every day when we leave for work and she drools for it so we know she likes it

My dog Buster loves his. I fill it with a dog biscuit and he really has to work to get it out. I like to give it to him when I leave for work in his crate so it keeps him busy for awhile.

Our dogs love stuffed kongs and "kongsicles"!!

One of our dogs will just gnaw on them whether there is anything in them or not, but the other two are into the whole "gratification" thing of the stuffed kongs.

They are dishwasher safe too!!

We don't have too much problem with the stuffing getting on the carpet, but that may be because the dogs will lick the carpet to get it clean, so we wouldn't see it anyway.

Sometimes I replace their regular dish feeding with a Kong feeding.
I will mix some canned or tube meat food with their dry food.
They love it.
