Why is it that Kona's dinner menu only has six entrees listed on it?

I keep hearing good things about their teriyaki steak and I can't find it on the menu.

TIA.

It's possible that they've changed menus recently or that the menu you are looking at is out of date.

The one on allears.net has eight items, including a teriyaki steak.

I also saw it on the menu on Disney's website:

The only where it is missing that I checked was at wdwinfo.com. The menus on allears.net and wdwinfo.com are based on submissions from recent guests, so it's possible that things have changed recently, that the submission was missing items, etc.

I was looking at the menu from this board and it only has six entrees listed for dinner.

I am on the DDP and would like more than six choices for dinner. Is this the case for all the restaurants at Disney?

The restaurants have a varied number of entrees on their menu - some will have more, some will have less. This is independent of the DDP. The DDP does not restrict you to only some of the entrees on the menu.

I'd take a look at the menus on allears.net and Disney.com, along with wdwinfo.com, to get a sense for what is available. None of these sites have comprehensive, completely accurate lists because things tend to change. The best you can do is get a sense for what might be on the menu.

On a site note, I did a little spot checking of various dinner menus and most places seemed to have between 6 to 10 entree items, with 8 being the most common.

Thanks for the info!!

While I'm on the subject, do you think having dinner at Kona's and 'Ohanas is a good idea for the same week? I Have heard great things about both restaurants but I'm afraid they might be too much alike.

We will be there with my three daughters ages 5, 8 and 8.

TIA

We did both on our last trip and didn't think twice about it. Even though they are right across from each other, the two of definitely very different. Enjoy!

Menus posted on the Internet are guides only. Even at the Official Disney site. You will only KNOW what is available when you sit down. Most Disney restaurants do not have extremelly extensive menus. You need to be sure that you are happy with that before you buy the DDP.
'OHana and Kona are totally different experiences. We like both 'OHana is a larger, noisier restaurant that has entertainment for young ones, as well as all you care to eat skewars of meats and sides. Many love it, many hate it, and you will find lots of both opinions here on the DIS.
Kona is a more traditional table service restaurant, albeit with a somewhat limited menu. You will order your entree and desert and be served at your table. There is nothing special happening for the young folks.
With over 100 restaurants participating in the DDP, you have lots of options. Check the various sites mentioned by PP to see what most appeals to you.

We have eaten at both and I can assure you they are completely different dining experiences. :)
