Kona's and How Long

We have reservation for a fireworks cruise from Contemporary and must be there at 8:15. We would like to have dinner at Kona's at Poly. How is the food and service at Kona's and how long would it take to eat and get to Contemporary in plenty of time for cruise? I know, run on sentence. Who cares, I'm on vacation.

The food and service are good.
I don't remember how long our dinner there took this last Sept.
I am sure it was under an hour, but by how much I don't know.

It was just hubby and I. I would let your server know when you need to leave so they can do what they can to get you out the door in time.
Also leave time to catch the monorail. You might have a few minute wait and if memory servers you will ride from the Poly to GF, then on to the Cont. (does the resort monorail stop at MK? can't remember).

There were few items on the menu that made us make PS Ressies at Kona. I was glad we decided to do it, we are adding it to our list of must dine at places in WDW. Plus its usually not to busy.

The resort monorail does stop at MK before continuing on to the Contemporary.

And I agree with danicaw - Kona's has great food - we ate there 3 days for breakfast (Tonga Toast!!!) and 2 evenings for a wonderful dinner (steak). The coffee is delicious also!

Just a thought - any way you could have the boat meet you at the Poly? It would certainly save you time......

Duh!!! I was able to change to Poly for pickup. Much easier. Leaving in the morning. Yeah.
