We have breakfast reservations for Kona for our trip in two weeks. I know the Poly is undergoing some construction right now so I was just wondering if the area where Kona is is affected right now and if overall it's worth going (is the construction loud, etc). Thanks so much! :goodvibes

We ate at Kona this week, and had both a most enjoyable breakfast and lunch. While it kills my soul to see them eliminating the wonderful waterfall lobby, the construction area is well screened. There was not noise, dust, smells, or any other unpleasantries associated with construction. The restaurant did seem darker, with some of the exterior light screened off, but that was the major downside. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and professional. Tonga toast is worth most any slight aggravation:)

How quick is the service at breakfast ? Got an 8am ADR and hoping to hit Magic Kingdom for rope drop.

Like most sit-down breakfasts at WDW, it's not particularly fast. Allow 45 minutes to an hour ... maybe a little moire if they get slammed in the kitchen.
Also remember that you have to allow 15 minutes or so for the monorail to MK.

Personally, I've found breakfast ADRs and rope drops to be difficult to impossible ... unless your ADR is in the park in question.
