Got an ADR here for December. What have been others experience here? Good food? Noisy?

Food was wonderful!!!! We had two kids who were in the mood to run so we took our meal back to the room and had it there. It was still great luke warm and all! The atmosphere is nothing to speak of but the food makes up for the lack there of. Have fun!!!

Best meal of our Labor Day trip! I did not find it any noisier than any other WDW restaurant. We had the char-crusted filet - - FABULOUS! The kids (9 and 13) also enjoyed everything they tried. We had always wanted to try Kona for dinner, and we are so glad we did! It will become one of our must do's! The Hawaiian bread with macadamia butter that is served first is wonderful! I enjoyed the meal just as much, if not more, than Le Cellier!

We enjoyed Kona last June for dinner. It was one of the BEST meals we had. I had the teriyaki steak and it was fabulous! We planned it for a late meal and when we finished we went to the beach and watched the fireworks!

Breakfast there last year was also very good. My brother swears they had the best scrambled eggs anywhere! Tonga Toast was awesome, but very sweet!

We ate at Kona twice during our recent stay.
The crab cake appetizers and steaks are wonderful.... food comparable with le Cellier.
Desserts were to die for.
Service was excellent.
It is definitely a must do restaurant for us now.

I appreciate the reviews. Sounds like this will become one of our favorites! :)

Kona is excellent at all three meals.

At dinner, it might be better to request a table away from the railing if noise bothers you. The crowds waiting for 'Ohana can get a bit noisy some nights.

Our 2nd fave meal (after LeCellier) - it was fabulous!! I didn't think it was too noisy, but definitely not super quiet. Just right for us as it was our first night and the kids were a bit "happy". Absolutely wonderful food! We were on DDP - DH and I got smoothies, both got Sticky Wings, I had the filet (GREAT!, loved the potatoes, too!) and he had the Prime Rib - loved it. The Kileau Torte is to die for!!

Been there for breakfast a few times, last time we were seated very close to the aisle to Ohana and it was loud. The food is awesome and we are doing breakfast and trying dinner next month

This is always at the TOP of our favorite meal list for dinner, but breakfast is wonderful, too. It's a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us at all. Have a great time!!!:goodvibes

Kona is our favorite. It's great for all 3 meals. The BBQ is really good and so is the bun for lunch and I like the steak for dinner and DH liked the macadamia mahi mahi.

Make sure you try the sticky fingers, too. They are my family's favorite!:thumbsup2

Another vote for Kona! It seems to me to be one of the few restaurants at WDW that gets consistently good reviews -- very few bad write-ups. Most other restaurants get mixed reviews (even some of the most popular, like Le Cellier) but Kona is great!

Now that I've experienced it, Kona is one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World, second only to Nine Dragons. I thought the food was excellent and cooked just right. The service was a bit on the slow side, but the food more than made up for that. The overall design of the restaurant is nothing special, but it's not bad. I say try it! :)

Absolutely fabulous!!!!!!:thumbsup2

The pot stickers are out of this world. It is a must do each time we go.

We went there in December for lunch and really enjoyed it. I absolutely loved the crab cakes for an appetizer and the atmosphere was fun.

There are only two restaurants at Disney that Dh and I just "have" to eat at - Kona is one (love the sticky wings and terriyki steak) and Jiko is the other

Yummy, yummy, yummy!
Can't say about the noise - we were probably the loud ones. :scared1:

We tried it for the first time last month for dinner and all I can say is YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! :thumbsup2

I got the chicken/veggie/noodle dish and DH got the Coconut Almond Chicken (both were awesome). DH got the sticky wings for an appetizer (also delicous!) My DD enjoyed eating her burger with the chopsticks that were given to me with my entree-hey anything to get her to eat!!! LOL! :rotfl:

It's definitely on our list of must-do's for next time! :thumbsup2
