I'm trying to figure out whether to go to Kona or the Wave for a late dinner in December. I want to see the MSEP and Wishes (7 and 8 PM respectively).

I booked the Wave because I figured it would be easier to get to following Wishes, but now I'm second-guessing myself.

Any opinions?

You can walk over to the Wave if for some reason the crowd levels make it difficult to get on transportation. Be at the front of the park or even outside of it by the time the fireworks start

The Wave is a great restaurant and has become my second favorite on property. I like Kona but would rather do lunch there than dinner.

I don't think that either restaurant has much to offer in the way of atmosphere (aside from the Wave's fantastic lounge), but I prefer the menu at the Kona Café. The last time we went there, we eschewed entrées completely and just built ourselves a little sampling menu of appetizers and sushi, then split a dessert. It was perfect for us.

Based on food alone, I vote Kona. It is one of my two "must do"s when I'm in WDW.
