Hi all! We are staying at the Poly this September - just DH and I, no kids - for our 10th anniversary trip and so far we have booked CA Grill, Narcoossee's, Le Cellier, and Coral Reef. We are only going for 5 nights, so I need one more restaurant and I'm trying to decide between Kona and Spoodles. Which would you choose and why?

I have eaten at Spoodles and although I do not have any complaints, I do not see a return visit in the future. Kona is right there in the Poly and the coffee, from what I have only read about (until this coming Jan) is really good.

I ate at Spoodles in Dec 2007 and I, too, probably won't be going back anytime soon ... I vote for Kona :goodvibes

We ate at Kona twice during our stay in December. We actually only had one ADR, but cancelled another during the trip and ate there again! It was wonderful. The bread and butter is excellent and worth getting an ADR just for that!!!

The food was good, the desserts were good, and the atmosphere was good!!!

Thumbs up for Kona Cafe`!!!

I've eaten breakfast at Spoodles only, so no review on dinner.

I voted Spoodles. Kona is good, but it's not really *fantastic*, and there's nothing all that unique or special on the menu. Spoodles, on the other hand, has always been outstanding, and they have several unique dishes. The desserts are wonderful, too.

Spoodles is a must do for us, every trip, while Kona is a place we enjoy but don't *have* to visit.

I would go kona. If just for the coffee. Most of the coffee in WDW stinks

I voted for Spoodles. I've eaten at Kona a couple of times and found the food to be pretty good, but the service was s-l-o-w. Spoodles is one of our favorites & we go every time! The pita with mediterranean dips is out of this world! And the lemon shrimp & pasta dish was fantastic! I can't wait to go back soon!

I have eaten at both and think either one would be a good choice. I would make my decision based on how you want to spend the evening. If you want to make an evening of relaxing at your resort, maybe watching the fireworks from the beach, go to Kona. If you would like a night out, maybe pop into Jellyrolls or simply stroll along the Boardwalk, go with Spoodles. Either way, I think you'll have a great meal!

I voted for Kona but seriously if you can go to both. They are both very good restaurants. Or you can go to Kona now and save Spoodles for a later trip but you should do both.

I voted Kona too. We've always had good meals at Kona. However, Spoodles isn't as consistent. Hope this helps!

I have eaten at both and will go back to both. For a "just the two of you" dinner, I voted for Kona. The atmosphere is cozier. Enjoy your time together!

I voted for Spoodles, the appetizers there are worth the trip alone. We've been to KONA twice and were terribly disappointed in the food, ambience and service.

I've never eaten at Kona before, but it has been recommended to me by a LOT of people. So many, I've been convinced to make sure I eat there on my next trip. But I have eaten at Spoodle's for breakfast and thought it was very good. What I would suggest make an ADR for dinner at Kona, but also go to Spoodle's for breakfast one morning. Get the best of both worlds!

Do you have a dinning plan? The reason I ask is that the appitizers are AWSOME at Spoodles, so what we do is order several apps and share for our dinner. The entrees were better at Kona. I do not care for the entree menu at Spoodles.

I like kona alot better, spoodles wasn't bad or anything. I just prefered kona.
