I would love to try Ohana for dinner, but the menu does not look good for the kid's.

Do yo like Ohana or Kona?

Is the atmosphere the same at both?

Can you see fireworks from Kona? princess:

'Ohana and Kona are very different.

First of all, Kona is in the front side of the hotel lobby so you cannot see fireworks (nor does it have any windows). The atmosphere at Kona is almost like a very open Starbucks. It is true to its name--it is a cafe and it kind of sits out open in the lobby. To me, that is it's only drawback. The food there is very good. I wouldn't say that it has the quality of Artist Point or Citricos but it is also cheaper. Still, the food quality there is VERY good.

'Ohana is a "fun" place. It has a better ambience becuase it is an actual, enclosed restaurant. If your kids do not like the typical fare at 'Ohana, they can bring you a plate of chicken tenders.

I prefer Kona to 'Ohana but my kids are older now and I'm sort of past the "fun and games" stage for dining. I do think that everyone should try 'Ohana once despite the fact that I'm not crazy about the quality of the meat. (love the platters though with all the little stuff on it).

'Ohana used to be one of our favorite places to eat. However, with the menu changes, we have decided to do Kona now. We like the atmosphere of 'Ohana, but too much change is not always a good thing. Kona lacks a bit in atmosphere, but the food is really good.

Just to let you know you can order kids meals from Ohana if they don't like the offerings. My kids have ordered chicken fingers, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, hot dogs, burgers etc. You still pay the same price but they get what they like and you can enjoy Ohana.

Of course my kids favorite dessert in all of WDW is the Kiddie Kone from Kona. They also like to split the sticky wings.

Both are really good. Ohana has more going on for kids, but Kona is really good also.

We did Kona last year and we are going to try 'Ohana this year. The food at Kona was wonderful. I did not like the open feel of the restaurant at all though. The chocolate cake is heavenly.
