We love to eat good food and I'm not sure which of these restaurants to go with for a tastey quick meal prior to the MNSSHP. We have not been to either and would love to hear your advice. Thanks. :)

'Ohana would be my place of choise between the two. Kona is great also but we love 'Ohana. The only thing I wanted to mention is that you can actually go into the party from 4:00 on. We have done this for both the MNSSHP and MVMCP. We do not go to the park that day and enter the MK at 4:00 and have from 4:00 to 7:00 until the party starts to enjoy the park.

I believe 'Ohana does not start serving dinner until 5:00. If you eat at 5:00 you will not get to the MK until at least 7:00. I know Kona serves both lunch and dinner. Not sure what time lunch stops and dinner starts. We usually like to have a large late lunch somewhere outside the park and enter the park at 4:00. This leave plenty of room to have a Mickey Ice Cream Bar while watching the first parade.

Thanks for the info. I am aware of the 4pm opening time, but i thought that might be too long (4 -12) for my kids to be at the park. I did think about it though and have a lunch ADR at Le Cellier at 2:45. It might be the way to go. Lunch would get us to the party by 5 the latest.

At what time does the first parade start? We have never been to the MNSSHP. Thanks. :)

Here is some info from last years party. Not sure if the new schedule is out yet but this should give you some idea.

I have a 5:30 at Chef Mickeys and i am considering cancelling for the reasons stated above... if i can get in the park at 4:00.. I should take advantage of that little perk.

WWYD? counter service in the park or CM?

We have ressies at Kona at 5:30pm, on the day of the party, be done at 6:30 or so. We figured Ohana would take too much time. The CM said you can't get into the park until 7pm, unless you have ressies before that for LTT or Tony's. you have to show the #. Remember nothing is open form 6-7pm, and you are moved to only one area of the park. So you just sit there.

If you have kids, go to 'Ohana. If not, go to Kona. They are both great, 'Ohana has activities for the kids but Kona has better food.

For the past few years they have been letting you into the parties with your ticket at 4:00pm. Last year they did not close the park at 6:00 and reopen at 7:00. They kept the park open the entire time and started filtering people without tickets out at 7:00. They did not send all the people with tickets into one section of the park. For MVMCP last year they actually had two fireworks shows - the first Wishes was at 6:00 for everyone (this was the regular Wishes). They had the second fireworks (Holiday version) at 9:30 for all the party goers.

Last year we had a 5pm ADR at Kona before MNSSHP. We ended up being there a little before 7pm.

Quick note: When they start filtering out the non-MNSSHP guests and when they start the rope drop infront of the castle...head to the left inbetween the castle and tommorrowland to fantasyland. We rode all the rides...Peter Pan, Small World, Pooh, Philarmagic, Snow White...all before the crowd was let through the rope. We had the boat and cars and pretty much the whole ride to ourselves without no wait at all. Walked right on....perfect!:thumbsup2

I meant head to the right in between the castle and tomorrowland. Sorry typing too fast and not thinking. :headache:

We have 5:00pm ADRs for Kona the night of MNSSHP, I don't think we'll have a problem getting to the party by 7:00pm
