Kona or Ohana for Breakfast?

We are staying at the Polynesian, and our ME bus won't leave until around 10:45 on our last day. So, we're thinking of doing breakfast at our resort.

We could sort of take or leave the characters since we'll be doing a couple other character meals during the trip (Tusker House and CRT).

So, between Kona and O'Hana, which do you feel has better food?

I would rather go to Ohana because of the wonderful cinnamon bread, pineapple bread and the fruit was amazing..and you can get pressed pot coffee there too

Kona is still fantastic...both places are very noisy

Kona all the way! Get the Tonga Toast!

You really can't go wrong with whatever restaurant you pick. They are both good!

We did both...I thought Kona was better because of the riduculous wait time at 'Ohana....we waited over 40 minutes beyond our ADR time and then were corralled into getting our pics done, it was all very "commercialized" for me. When I wanted to take a picture with Mickey and my camera didn't work the first try it was too late....he was moving on. It was so hectic, although the food WAS good it was just a little weird how everyone kept saying "'Ohana means family" - I got kind of tired of that. :confused3

The atmosphere at Kona is more laid back, you can eat and enjoy and there's no pressure. Especially since you're doing other character meals, I'd go for Kona. And the Tonga toast really IS as good as its hype. The coffee there was also the best I had at the World!

Kona all the way. We've done both and, frankly, the food at Ohana (while good) is the same stuff they serve in the breakfast skillet at Captain Cooks. Also, Ohana has so many interruptions with the parades and such that it makes for a long meal. We dined there in September, 2008 and left after an hour, and didn't even see all of the characters - we were just tired of sitting around waiting for them. Kona, however, is consistently good, from the food to the service. :thumbsup2

'Ohana was also our last day breakfast before catching ME and I was stressing big time about the wait time...

Ok, I think I'm leaning towards KONA. It's a good point that O'Hana will take longer, and I don't want to be stressed out about missing our ME bus. Besides, if we've already done the character thing, why pay more when all we really want is a good meal.

One more vote for Kona (although I finally scheduled an O'hana breafast for our upcoming trip). The macademia nut pancakes are sooooo yummy at Kona!
