Kona or GF Cafe?

DH and I are going to have a belated anniversary dinner during our next trip and are trying to decide between Kona and GF Cafe. Any positive/not-so-positive experiences at either? Both menus look good and we can't decide!

i would go with kona cafe ... the food is good. i do hope you realize its a pretty chill place .. not really romantic or anything for an anniversary? i dont think anyways ..

I agree with pp about not very romantic However the food is very good. Had a great steak there. Never been to GF Cafe.

We've eaten at both numerous times, and Kona would win over GFC IMHO. Though the restaurant experience isn't necessarily romantic, try to snag a reservation time that could put you on the beach to watch Wishes. That can be VERY romantic!

Kona hands down, love that place. My husband and I eat there at least twice every trip.

GF cafe gets my vote. First the food is excellent @ both restaurants but the atmosphere & more sedate feel of GF would be much nicer for A quiet , relaxed, romantic dinner. Have a great time with whichever you choose.

Kona is one of our favorite restaurants, never been to GF but planning on it for upcoming trip. Agree with a previous poster about Wishes on the beach being romantic, plus a stroll through the property and out to the boat dock at night is very nice. Happy anniversary!

ITA... Kona is a busy hectic place, especially with 'Ohana next door.

But I don't think either are romantic.

Oh trust me, I'll be 6 1/2 months pregnant, we're traveling with our extremely energetic 2 year old and my in-laws who live next door (yep, that's right, next door). Sadly I think romance is the last thing that will be on our minds, but good food will be priority one! Kona sounds like it'll be a great place for us to collapse and have a nice meal!
