Which would you choose...food wise? The characters don't mean so much to us this trip, but I would like some yummy food. We would prefer a breakfast, but wouldn't mind dinner. Vote and tell me why

I voted for Kona. I loved the breakfast we had there. The food is great and the coffee is excellent. I have eaten at Cape May and it is ok for a buffet.

Food wise there is no question that Kona is far better than Cape May. The only way Cape May would "win" this comparison is if you judged by weight (simply because its a buffet).

I love Cape May for dinner because we love crab legs and mussels and the last two times we ate there they were cooked perfectly and refilled often. We mostly stear away of buffets and Cape May is an exception for us. Kona for dinner was good, but doesn't make our "each trip must do list".

For breakfast I would pick Kona if it were just hubby and I. I think the prices are great (for Disney) and I like getting made for me pancakes. We have done the breakfast buffet at Cape May for the DD, 3, and it was one of the best breakfast buffets we've seen and the character interaction was fabulous (I know that isn't a consideration for you).

Breakfast: Kona (if no kids)
Dinner: Cape May

I voted Cape May. In all fairness I have never ate at Kona. My family loves seafood so I chose Cape may.

I voted for Kona but mostly for dinner. I love their steaks, bread and dessert!!! Cape May was average for a buffet. DH did not like it at all. To me, Cape May is below average for their breakfast. The food was so-so and not real warm. However, I would give it another try to see if it was better if I could talk DH into going back.

voted for Kona...either breakfast or dinner. Have been to Cape May for dinner, and Kona for both breakfast & dinner. Cape May is OK...but the sea food is not all that impressive (typical buffet quality sea food, in other words...it's OK. Not fantastic.) Very good desserts, but then our experience is great desserts at all Disney restaurants.

Kona...fabulous breakfast (BIG KAHUNA! ham, bacon, sausage, 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes, macadamia-nut pancakes, french toast. and outstanding Kona coffee. Nuff said.)

Kona...wonderful dinner (great appetizers, love the Terriyaki Steak. Warm hawaiian bread is excellent! Love the banana creme brulee for dessert, as well as Kona Cone is fun, fun, fun.)
