Ok, I have ADR's for both Kona and Boma on 9/15. Since I haven't been to either one, I am leaving it up to you Disers to sell me on your favorite! :goodvibes

I've been too both and enjoyed both. Two different experiences - Boma is a buffet and Kona is not. I love the Tonga Toast at Kona but I also love grazing on various items (including the cinnamon raising french toast) at Boma. What kind of eater are you?

I put Boma. My reason is that you can go to Captain Cook if you're going to Kona for Tonga Toast. CC is considerd a CS credit if you on the ddp and it's cheaper if your paying OOP. Both have the pressed pot of coffee and the special juice. We go to both but I will say I've always felt rushed at Kona and more like I'm in a diner like IHOP except the food is WAY better at Kona. Boma has always been a lot more relaxed.

It really just depends on my/our mood, but my thinking was this. We are already doing Crystal Palace breakfast (buffet) and Chef Mickeys breakfast (buffet) so maybe Kona would be a little different for us. The tona toast does looks yummy :goodvibes

Thanks. I have read a lot about the pressed pot coffee. Can you tell me a little about it and why everyone raves about it?!?! :goodvibes

Boma's buffet is slightly different than the two you have planned but it is still a buffet. 3 buffets for breakfast might be a lot. What resort are you staying at and what are you planning on doing after breakfast? To me, you can't go wrong with either and I would do what works best with my plans. AKL is a really cool resort if you have never seen it but is out of the way if you, say, want to be at MK for rope drop.

Personally I don't think you can compare CM and CP to Boma. If you can find MickeyNikki's dining review. She has some awesome pictures of Boma's breafkast buffet. Really through you can't go wrong with either one.

You can view pics of both places in my March/April link. They both have pressed pot coffee but Boma's is stronger than Kona. You get more for your money at Boma, the coffee and yummy jungle juice are included $16.99 for an adult. The breakfast at Kona you have to pay a few bucks for juice, a few bucks for coffee and about $10 for a meal.

We love both but my heart belongs to Boma, we eat there on every trip!

Thanks! I actually read your reviews last night! Awesome pics! :worship: We are doing the Deluxe Dining so price really isn't a factor, but that juice sure sounds yummy! I am so torn!!!

It's just fresher to me. They put the grounds in the french press with water. You let it sit on your table for a few minutes then press the grounds to the bottom before pouring. It's like your own special fresh brewed coffee. It's really good at both. If you don't like it as strong just press the grounds down sooner and pour yourself a cup.

Sorry spelled your screen name wrong. You do have some good pictures of both.

I have been to Boma, but not to Kona for breakfast - I have always heard great things about Kona's breakfast, though, and may try it during our upcoming trip.

I enjoyed Boma for breakfast BUT DS and DD (both 8) did not have the patience to sit and enjoy this breakfast when they really wanted to be at the parks :sad2: , and since AKL is further from the action, I don't think it was the best choice for us. I would definitely do it again if it was just me and DH.

If your little ones will be anxious to get to the parks, I would go with Kona.
