At 60+ days out no kona nothing. Bfast lunch or dinner...what gives? Super spotty even before 60. Anyone else...just odd. Thanks.

I would just keep checking - it just may not be loaded into the system yet. We have had good luck doing Kona using the waitlist option as well.

I tend to putz on my phone while sitting with the kids when they do homework. After wordle & a few articles, I check out MDE to see waitlist and same day ADRs. Kona usually shows up on the waitlist option (along with Geyser Point & Chef Mickey?) and sometimes as a same day ADR.

Thanks- I couldn’t get Kona either on any day of my June trip. Guess I’ll just keep checking…

We are staying at Poly in June, I tried for multiple days for breakfast and dinner at Kona and found nothing available, found Ohana breakfast but no dinners, really disappointed!

I had this happen too.
Today was my booking day and I had the WORST time ever with Disney's site and app. I'm not a novice at booking these. I woke up at 5:15 am. Got both the website and Iphone app ready and began the second it hit 5:45am. But I got nothing but errors and "we're sorry we cant complete your search right now" for over 20 minutes! Neither the site or app worked (and of course the phone line isnt even open until 7am). I missed out on many of the reservations I wanted and had to totally change plans.

But the one that struck me most odd was I could not find a SINGLE time for Kona Cafe. It wasnt just that my ideal timeframe was gone, it shows nothing available all day. Yet, I was able to grab Ohana easily, with my pick of the litter for times. That place has always been too hard to get so I never prioritized it. But I guess I'll be brunching at Ohana this trip! Something has to be up with Kona. I even tried to search for a smaller table for 2 (my party is 6) and still nothing appears. I wonder if it is shutting down for an unannounced refurb or something.

I am seeing the same things. I have been searching for Kona breakfast reservations on the day we are planning on going to Magic Kingdom and haven't been able to find ANY (also searched all the other days of our trip.) I read in another thread where someone didn't see any for his trip until 30 days out. Maybe it is something similar here.

I don't know if this is related but when we were staying at the Polynesian last year we spoke to the people at Kona because we could not get a table for breakfast during our whole trip but it kept looking half empty.

The system seemed to be holding back the reservations for walk-ups. Then they weren't getting the walk-ups because everyone thought it was booked solid. Maybe they never got it fixed?
It sounds like a nice idea to hold back reservations to all these places for this guests who are staying at the hotel, but you need to tell the guests who have been conditioned to think that they need reservations that the restaurant is now open for walk-ups.

I had the same issue yesterday with Kona Cafe too. I'm hoping it shows up in the next few days, but I found it weird as I couldn't find it on any of my trip days. I have always wanted to try Tonga Toast. Here's hoping.

It took waiting for two weeks, but yesterday I was able to secure an 8AM breakfast at Kona for our visit next week using one of the reservation finder services.

Agree that all restaurants should hold reservations for those staying there. When paying deluxe price you are paying for amenities like restaurants, proximity to parks and pools etc. Very aggravating when you have a restaurant at your resort and can’t get in even once during your trip.

I wish they would combine doing it with announcing that they are doing it- so that those of us afraid to not have a plan know we should try while there!

Same here! I haven't been able to get it my last two trips @ the 60 day mark and I was so disappointed! But I was able to snag one the day before last time. I think people tend to drop reservations once they're on property as plans change, so keep an eye out as the time gets closer.

Was able to book Kona for breakfast for our trip that is about 50 days now. Still unable to find any 50's Prime Time availability for the trip.

We got back a few weeks and had no problem getting a Kona Lunch reservation. Many openings even as we got closer to arriving. We use to love it there but menu changed and food not very good so won’t go back next trip.

We joined the waitlist in November and were seated in about 20 minutes. You need to be close to the restaurant to join - I did it as soon as we stepped off the monorail.
