I am finishing up my PSs; is Kona appropriate for children 6 & 3? They are not picky eaters and would anything from the menu. :scratchin

My 2 year old loved the food at Kona. This January, we had breakfast there the 3 days we were at the Poly. She is not a breakfast eater, but enjoyed the ham my DH and I got with our breakfasts as well as the house juice. We had dinner there one night and I ordered the duck pot stickers as an appetizer. Well, the wrappers were tasty. And I'm guessing from the way my DD snarfed down the filling that it was pretty good too. (Actually I did get a taste and enjoyed it very much.) For dinner I had the fillet mignon and shared some with her. DD is a carnevore and was very happy with the fillet. My DH had the crab cake appetizer, which DD ate some of quite happily, and the shrimp and scallops combo. DD ate some of the shrimp but didn't want to try the scallops. I think your kids will do just fine. And the adults will be too.

Thanks! The menu sounds fantastic. Does Kona have any entertainment or does the food stand alone?
I see you are from Annapolis. My best friend teaches at the Naval Academy. I think Annapolis is almost as magical as Disney.

My kids (18 months and 5 on our last trip) loved Kona! We ate dinner there twice and got take-out from there once (kids were too tired to wait for a table). The staff is very accomodating. The desserts are unbelievable. Our kids loved the Kiddie Cone!

Have a great time!

My 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 year olds loved Kona. DS had grilled cheese and DD had pasta with sauce and a meatball. The hit for them was the Kiddie Kone. Imagine a big waffle cone dipped in chocolate and attached to the plate so that it stands up. Inside are two scoops of ice cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles. Then there are M&M's on the plate and cotton candy wrapped around the plate. I thought my kids were going to die when they saw it. DH ordered one too after he saw it on display with the other desserts.

DH and I had the filet mignon medallions and loved them.

Our dd(6) and ds(4) loved Kona! :flower:
The especially loved the Lilo and Stitch made out of chocolate displayed by the desserts! :sunny:
They were also BIG fans of the Kiddie Cone... mind you... neither of them could put much of a dent in them after their dinner. ;) The smoothies were really yummy too! :sunny:
I think next year we will go back just for dessert and a pot of pressed coffee! :teeth:

In atomosphere, Kona is like a "normal" restaurant. While the food is excellent (one of my favorite restaurants on-property), the restaurant is fairly casual and kid-friendly.
