I have a question about getting to the Kona Cafe at Poly. I have AR for 10am on July 4th and I'll be staying at PC. I'm wondering what time I should leave PC if we're going to take the buses over to Poly? I know you're supposed to leave at least 45 minutes in advance, but perhaps, because of the holiday, I should leave extra early? Any advice?

Thanks!

Well, it certainly couldn't hurt to leave extra early on the 4th. I'm sure WDW transportation...buses, monorails, ferries....will be wall-to-wall people all day, especially in the morning and at park closing times.

You should probably allow at least an hour, and if I were in your situation I'd at least think about taking a taxi from Pop to the Poly. That would be a lot quicker.

Enjoy!

I go to the Kona Cafe every year for breakfast. We love it there! We also stay at CBR every year. Love it there too!! We find the quickest way to get to the POLY is to get a bus from your resort to Magic Kingdom & then get on the monorail to the POLY!! It's quick, it's fun!!! Good Luck & have fun!! :earsgirl:

I didn't know you could do that - take a taxi while on WDW property. I does make sense though especially during a very busy holiday. I've only been in maybe three or four taxis in my life. Do you know approximately what they would charge?

I had Tonga Toast once or twice, but it was a long, long time ago. I'm really looking forward to rediscovering it all over again. I'll have to write down your directions. This might be easier for me than taking a taxi.

I'm guessing about $10 plus tip, and I'm sure you'd get to the Poly in 15 minutes or less. Taking WDW transportation is easy and "free," but you might have very long waits on July 4.

I say at least an hour. B/c you have to get on a bus from Pop to MK. Then walk over to the monorail station which is on the opposite side of the MK main gates from the buses. Make sure you take the Resort monorail too. It will take you to the Cont., TTC, and then to the Poly. I agree the buses, monorails, ferries are going to be packed too. Also I think their is a ferry that runs from MK to Poly and GF but I might be wrong.
