i have heard a lot aout the Tonga Toast at kona cafe and would like to try it on my next trip.

the menu says that it is served with choice of ham, bacon, or sausage.

i am a vegetarian, do you think i would be able to get an alternative, because i would love to try the tonga toast.

has anyone done this?

I have not substituted the meat that comes with Tonga Toast for anything else. However, they are so friendly at Kona Cafe, that I'm sure they'd substitute something for you, maybe some fruit. When I was there, they were able to dip the toast in egg beaters instead of milk, so I'm sure they can do something for you instead of the meat.

As a vegetarian, do you eat eggs? Egg beaters still contains eggs and they have to dip the bread into some egg type batter to cook it.

Even if you have to skip the side dish, try the Tonga toast.:Pinkbounc I'm not a big fan of sweet stuff at breakfast, but OMG:bounce: this stuff RULES::yes::
