Kona Cafe timing question

I made reservations at Kona Cafe for 8:45 am on my MK day, May 2...but now I think that’s just way too late, especially since I have lunch reservations at SH 71 at 12:40. I may try to change that or go to Geyser Point instead (I presume a less time consuming meal), but regardless...Kona has 8:20 am available.

If I switch the 8:20 am, which I’m sure it will be very crowded, am I likely to be stuck there for a couple of hours? I just don’t want to get to MK too late. I know I could probably get a later ADR at LTT that night than 7:15, but I want to be able to do a few rides after dark as well, so I‘d like to keep that time.

As long as you have a reservation , they will probably be happy to seat you earlier .
I have often shown up and asked to be seated because Hungry Now
I guess it might depend on your party size . I’m usually just 1 or 2 guests.
Good luck with decision. I love Kona for breakfast but I am going to SH71 , maybe for Easter Brunch . Need to decide .
I really want to see the Easter Parade at the MK !

Agreed - especially that time of morning. The OP isn't the only one anxious to enjoy a good breakfast and then get the day started at MK or any of the theme parks.

It will be just me, my nephew and his GF...and it helps that I’m pretty sure we’re all going to order the Tonga Toast, so we wont spend a lot of time perusing the menu

I‘m so excited about SH71 - I even have dinner reservations on the 4th. I wanted to do lunch since the prime rib sandwich sounds way too good to pass up, lol

Thank you ! I made it for 8:45 for a few minutes of extra sleep, but MK - for me - is actually not the park to sleep relatively late on, lol.

In just the few minutes I was posting here, the 8:20 availability disappeared, so I changed to 8:30 am, lol...might show up a tad earlier. though

I’m so glad I kept my Kona reservation - the Polynesian is so beautiful - and after panicking when I thought I’d lost my magic band, I needed this respite.

The Tonga Toast was very good, but I’m not sure I’d do it again since it’s rich and heavy. At least I’m going to walk it off!
