Is the Kona Cafe breakfast considered a full meal credit on the Dining Plan or can you use it as a Quick Service? I keep hearing about how good the tonga toast is but don't want to waste a full meal credit on a $10.99 breakfast. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Capt. Cook's is the only quick service at the Polynesian, I believe.

It's a sit down restaurant with waiters, so it's a full service meal.

FYI- You can get tonga toast for breakfast at Captain Cooks, which is the Polynesian's quick service place.

Yes it would require a TS credit if you wish to pay using a dining plan. You also get a beverage with your breakast. The credits are based on the type of restaurant (one where you're served requires TS credits) rather than the price of the food.

You can get Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's using a CS credit.

You can get Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks (the QS place as PP said). Kona would be a regular dining credit. :goodvibes

Perfect! It sounds like Capt. Cooks is the way to go then.

Thanks for all of your quick responses!

I have heard that the tonga toast is slightly different at Cap.Cooks. Just so you know. But its the same idea.....so im sure it'll be scrumptous! :)

The one at CCs doesn't have strawberry sauce, right?

I am just going to go to Kona and pay OOP (I agree it isn't worth a table service credit to order a $10.99 breakfast, well unless maybe you are on the DxDP).

We also OOP when we eat at Kona for breakfast. We feel that it's waste of DDP credit for relatively cheap TS. ;) We save up that credit fot signature or squeeze in another dinner. But I highly recomment Kona breakfast. Everything is so yummy.:goodvibes
