Kona Cafe menu changes

It looks on the Disney website like they've changed the Kona Cafe menu. No more Samoan on the breakfast menu. Appears to be no difference between lunch and dinner menu anymore.

No Big Kahuna on the menu either. Makes me sad, as this was always a must do on during our Disney trips. My nephew would get the Big Kahuna and I would get the omelette. A family tradition gone.

I was planning on the Big Kahuna as my last meal before we fly home. I do not care for the looks of the new menu at all. Wouldn't care so much if we weren't staying at the Poly, but we were really looking forward to Kona!

Looks like just about every menu on the site is down right now, so I can't look, but fingers crossed the Samoan makes the cut. I'm all for menu refreshes and love trying new things, but I'm not much of a breakfast lover but the Samoan is my one exception.

Unfortunately, the Samoan did not make the cut. They now have "Kona Eggs Benedict: Poached eggs with Citrus-Chili Hollandaise sauce and Char Siu Pork Belly on Toasted Hawaiian Bread".

This makes me so sad! I have reservations for June. Considering changing them but now sure of where to go.

A few of my favs have also disappeared. However, I'd give the changes a few wks to shake out. Over the next week or so, you will see some updated reviews on WDW sites like disney food blog, etc and also up to date pics & reviews on tripadvisor and yelp. Some changes will be positive and you may find a new fav. But I agree, its def hard to say goodbye to old favourites.

Can anyone confirm that the pressed pot is different? Is it just joffereys in a pressed pot? Also are there any old menu items you're still able to get? My kids really liked the Donald breakfast with egg, bacon, and cinnamon sugar toast. Any info would be great.

After having tried the Kona Benedict it's a superior replacement to the Samoan and was slightly better than the Butter Poached Lobster Benedict we had the day before at Cali Grill Brunch

I've actually read quite a few great reviews about the new Kona Eggs Benedict, so my bet is still on awesome!

I am quite happy they put on a Loco Moco to the menu. When we were in Hawaii my niece ate a version of this dish at least once a day.

Pressed pot was Kona coffee as of May 19.
