We are going to try the Kona cafe for lunch on the day of our arrival in June. Any good suggestions for appetizer, entree and dessert? This will be our main meal of the day, so we're hoping to really enjoy it. Thanks!

Ive only eaten dinner and breakfast there so I dont know whats good on the menu for lunch, however for an appetizer I highly recommend the sticky wings. We have gotten them to go a few times in the past and eat them outside at the tables near the pool, or on our patio. Theyre delicious! :D

Been a while, but I had some sort of yummy salad with steak in it (teriyaki). All I can say for sure is that over the years I've had numerous meals there at numerous times and I've NEVER been disappointed!

Dh and I did lunch at Konas in april. I did a review. I was not too thrilled. We shared the crab cake appetizer. There were 3 crab cakes. While good, dh and I wondered how we would split the 3rd one, down the middle of course. I had the pork sandwhich. Though it was good, the fries were luke warm. Dh had the mahi mahi sandwhich and said it was good. For dessert we shared the apple brown betty. I took the first bite, it was so hot I almost burnt my mouth. Glad I had a full glass of ice tea near by. Our table was also at the outside edge of the restraunt entrance. Not the peaceful, quiet romantic atmosphere dh and I were looking for. We have eaten there before and last time was better. I think we will try someplace else for lunch next time. But hope you have a much better experience.

Both the kona salad and the caesar salad are good. The pot stickers are so-so. I have had the soup of the day a couples and that always good.

My favorite entree is the pan-asian pasta. Portion-wise, it makes a good main meal entree

DD and I ate there for lunch last month, we had the crab cakes and pot stickers, and split the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich. All our food was very good, we especially loved the potstickers!!(Seems like there is quite a wide range of opinion on this restaurant!)

DD had some kind of smoothie and I had iced tea, a very nice lunch overall. We'll definitely do it again!

My husband & I just returned from our trip; we escaped from MK for an early lunch at the Kona Cafe & what a great experience. It was so calm & peaceful after the hectic pace of the park; the hostesses & our server (Susan, I believe) were great too.

We had the duck potstickers which were fabulous! They had some type of yummy sauce on them & came with a side of cucumber salad that was great; it had a hint of ginger flavor which was nice.

Entrees were the Pan Asian Pasta for my husband which he enjoyed & the salad with the Teriyaki steak for me; both were very good & portions were large, I thought. We actually would consider just ordering two appetizers & a small salad each in the future as we prefer a bit of a lighter meal during the day.

Oh yes! We had the Koko puffs for dessert which were ok (maybe I was just too full!) & a pot of the Kona coffee (with the french press) - very strong, but good (we only each had one cup & there were at least 4 cups to the pot!).

By the way, I heard that Kona Cafe also has great breakfasts (ie. Tonga toast). Enjoy!

Now don't get me wrong, I do like this restaurant. I always have had great service. The pan-asian pasta is one of my favorite entrees at WDW. One of my favorite things to do is go for lunch on Sunday with a NY Times and have a leasurely meal with a couple glasses of wine.

DW & I ate at Kona for lunch on Monday. We had the Sticky Wings for an appetizer (we were surprised at how many we got!) and were very pleased. We both had the pulled pork sandwich and were also very pleased with that. There wasn't any room left for dessert, so I can't comment there.

Have eaten lunch at the Kona Cafe nearly a dozen times over the years and have always been pleased. We enjoyed the crab cakes and the pot stickers as appy's and have tried the pork sandwich, mahi mahi, Kahuna burger and chicken sandwiches. The kids loved the Kiddie Cones. We will be there for lunch again this year.
