We are thinking about trying this for breakfast one our first morning in WDW. My question is how does it work since it is a table service. Table service is a drink, an entree and dessert but breakfast doesn't really come with dessert, does it? Do you just not get the dessert? Or do you get to pick an extra side?

On the Dining Plan, breakfast explicitly does not come with a dessert. You get an entree + drink. No extra side, no dessert. It is one of the reasons that breakfast is typically a meal recommended for out of pocket.

Yes, it does say in the brochure that breakfast is entree or buffet and drink. So using a TS credit on a non-buffet breakfast is a really terrible use of credits. If you really want to eat there pay OOP.

When you are seated, your server generally asks if you're on a dining plan. Just say "no".
