Kona Cafe...Fav dish?

I love Kona! The atmosphere, service, and food are great. My favorite dish that I've had is the coconut almond chicken. It is served with a delicious Asian greens with almonds and strawberries. It is soooo good. I also ordered a Mai Thai with it and it was very yummy.

Can anyone tell me what these were like? How large is the portion?

They took this off the menu last year, but upon special request, they'll still make them. They're called the Kona Creme Puffs.

they're absolutely delicious.
[creme puffs filled with chocolate type mousse, and topped with chocolate butterfly wings, and whipped cream

I think they were called Koko Puffs.

Oh, I guess I'll have the filet to go with that.

they used to be called the koko puffs.
then they changed it back in 05' when they took some things off their menu.
at least thats what the waitress said to us.

The Mahi-Mahi makes me drool...

Funny, we loved everything else but I thought the Mahi-Mahi was rather tasteless. Not stopping me from going back this trip!! Be sure to get a Lapu Lapu from the lounge while you wait!!!

Hello Amygirl,

I love Kona a lot as the food there is very deliciously, Especially Most of the table had the teriyaki steak....it's really incredible, And the coconut Chicken is wonderful. Just can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu, its all good..... We want to eat Kona Twice next trip!!!!!!! :cool1:

Angel......:wizard:

I'm dying for Kona's turkey medallions and succotash right now.
It's not even 9am here... :rotfl:

I had the turkey medallions last October, and they came out very dry and blah ....

I was in two minds whether to try Kona again, as our server, was disinterested to say the least. So we will try again next month and see if it was just a one off.

I am thinking of the terriyaki steak as everyone raves about it ..... and torn over desserts though.

We were in Kona last year, and I absolutely LOVED it. The food is incredible. The atmosphere is OK, nice but nothing amazing. My family, however, does NOT like the atmosphere at all; they call it "the cafeteria." Our server was ALSO disinterested and made for a not-as-pleasant experience as it could have been. When we went to Disney last week, I was outvoted and we did NOT to go to Kona, because the others were really down on the atmosphere & service. However, I've already informed them that next time, WE ARE GOING. Hopefully, we will have better luck with the service then. I will definitely order the wings for appetizer and the teryaki steak; both are absolutely incredible!!
